Interesting experience. The doors were locked when we got there, went to leave but someone ran out and stopped us. Told her it was for two people. She said she had to "check" went back in, locking the door behind her, leaving us just standing on the sidewalk. A very off putting way to "greet" your guests. I wonder how many people just left thinking you were closed?
Service was unorganized. Water was brought by one person, menus by another. Then another came and asked for our drinks, weren't quite ready yet, then three minutes later someone else's asked for our drink order. (Mind you, there was only 4 maybe 5 tables seated in the 'front' section) so I don't get the confusion on who's table is it?
Food was decent. Had the Turkey and Ham BLT, partner had had the Cuban. Sandwiches were fresh, fries were oily and really had no flavor except for the fryer oil.
Once we got our food, that was it. Never checked on, never offered a refill. Had to stop someone to ask for silverware, mustard, a refill, basic things.
Price was kinda steep. $15 for my sandwich and fries. Kinda high for the amount and quality of toppings. Can go almost anywhere in EC and get a "club" bigger and cheaper.
Tip is included on the bill (18%) so watch for that. I knew that being a local. But I might have missed it on the menu. It is just added on one seat (for the total bill) so watch your checks...
Read moreService started off good but quickly got bad as I asked for a water and didn’t receive a refill for at least 15 minutes. Others at my table could have used a refill when I got one and their glasses were not refilled by our waiter. We did have to wait for two others in our party, maybe for 10 minutes, but we ordered shortly after they got here. We were at the restaurant for an hour and 8 minutes before we got our food. Others at tables around us got their food 15 minutes after they arrived. Our server ignored us for most of the night before we received our food and he never apologized about our food taking so long, as a good server should. We were not asked how the food was after we had taken a few bites, not until he came to give us our checks. As a past waitress, I’m very disappointed in the service we received tonight and how slow it took for our food to arrive. I believe our waiter’s name was Chad. Speaking of the food, I got the fish tacos and they were nothing special. I only received salsa on one of the tacos. My friends enjoyed their food but it was a little overpriced for the quality. I would come back to try other menu items but would be disappointed to have the same server again. Ambiance was nice and it was a cool place to hang out and had...
Read moreWe (2 parents and 1 child) stopped at The Livery on our way back to Stevens Point based on location and good reviews. We were not disappointed! This restaurant has so many great things going for it. The host that seated us was very pleasant and personable. Our server, Josh, was great! He also was very friendly and timely with getting our drink order and then main order. While we were reading the menu, we saw that the restaurant is a living wage restaurant, which makes me so happy! We still tipped because the service and food was so good. Goes to show how paying a living wage can influence the product. Between the three of us, we had two pesto chicken sandwiches, one Livery Burger, a mixed green side salad, and sweet potato tots served with a yummy cinnamon honey dip that was just so... Yummy! The burger, ordered medium, did in fact come medium and was super juicy. The salad had real greens with arugula. The ranch dressing was super flavorful. The pesto chicken was amazing and juicy. They had a limited but diverse menu that even vegetarians would be happy with. Lots of healthy and unique choices, even with their burgers (choice of beef, turkey, or vegetarian...
