Food was alright, mediocre, sub-par. The customer service from our waitress was horrible though. We had a party of 8, ordered our first round of food/ingredients. As we're still eating, the waitress comes back and asked if we wanted to order more or if we were done.......OR IF WE WERE DONE? Im not sure what her intentions were, but word choices matter. When you ask your customers if they are done (she had a stank attitude also) it feels like you're rushing them out. We were literally eating! It was a little appalling to me because we had a party of 8 and the portion sizes that came out were for like a party of 4. So, we had to order like 2 orders of food/ingredients. Only half of what we ordered came out afterwards. After asking for shrimp tempura, quail eggs, etc 3 times and it never came out, i assumed they didnt have any in stock..... but the waitress could've said so instead of punching it into her electronic pad as if she placed an order for it. Waitress can work on her customer service! And I'm positive the establishment will know whom this employee is as all the other waitress/waiters were a lot kinder, and this specific one had a not so happy attitude. This place is wayyy overpriced. You'd think drinks/soda would be included in the price also. But nope! You pay for your soda also. What a shame. This place was overly exaggerated for the longest time and I thought I'd bring my family to try it out. Probably wont come back unless the price & service...

I was pretty disappointed, when I went here. My friend and I asked for a table with an hour and a half to close, which the waiter said was fine. There's a 2 hour limit, anyways, so we knew we would be asked to leave at close. We hoped that they'd get us rolling as soon as possible and we already knew how to do hot pot, so it would be easy. We agreed to this and were seated. He asked for our drinks and said our server would be right over.

-We didn't see anyone for 45 minutes. My friend started a timer, after 10 minutes. -Children where running around, screaming, the whole time we were there. -The manager, who we didn't know was the manager, at first, talked to the table next to us for over a half hour. -None of the servers came by our table. They sat by the entrance and kitchen doors, talking. We suspected that they were waiting us out, to see if we'd just leave. -However, after 45 minutes, a server clearing that table the manager had been at heard me say "I think we should just leave. I already know I'm writing a bad review." We're sure that's why the manager came over, got our table started, compensated our drinks, and said we could stay past close. -She forgot to bring my drink.

The food was great, once we got it, and the atmosphere, minus the screaming kids, was nice, but the service really stained a great day out. If I go here, again, it will have to be with someone else, cuz I know my friend will be hard...

Service is horrible and you want to charge 15% ? That’s just doesn’t make sense! I don’t even want to tip if that is an option! is it becuz you think no matter what you will get tips so you don’t need to work on being nice to customers?if I’m the only one feels this way then it’s for sure my issue! But look at your reviews and think about how to fixed your staff please! Server are rude! Friendly Ask her to help us added more soup base (how can you cook food if there is no soup) she just roll her eyes and saying ‘’Uh huh‘’ Hello ? Excuse me? There are some better words you can use! Also very excited to see they have sesame sauce at the sauce bar… but hello ? Is it even fresh? It’s like oily on top and even you try to stir it it still looks horrible, soup base don’t even have flavor, how can you call that spicy hot pot if there is only a dots of chili oil and not even having any flavor? Very disappointed! The meat quality are great but rest of the stuff… I can’t imagine how long you guys can stay open if you don’t take customers advice! Good...

Had a good time! The soup was pretty good and there was a good selection of items to cook in the broth. I think the rice cakes and fried tofu were my favorite things I tried. We had the spicy pork and the mushroom pork broths. I am a bit disappointed that they don’t have rice. But it was still good. The tastiness does really depend on how good you are at making a sauce you will like from the mix your own sauce bar. I think mine was just ok, so that is my own fault. They do have sauce recipes to try so maybe I would try that next time. For the price I think it is more worth it if you are a meat eater. For that reason I might prefer other hot pot places I have been where you pay for the add ins separately. Glad we tried it! Husband got the pork, beef, meatballs, and sausages and liked it all. Server was very nice and attentive.

I was there with friends to celebrate a birthday. One friend doesn’t eat pork so I was careful to ask our server for broths with no pork base. Later on, when asked if we would like to top up the broth, I said yes and they poured a milky liquid into both pots. My friend asked what that was and they said pork broth. I didn’t get clear answers on whether the initial broth we had was pork based or not. (We got the Sichuan broth and the mushroom one.) Messaged the business, no reply yet. It just killed the celebratory mood of the evening. Food was otherwise fine, robots were cute. But really unhappy over this lack of concern about dietary restrictions, especially when we’d already asked. UPDATE: Hot Pot City wrote back to apologize and offered us a gift card. I appreciate their response.
