Not impressed. I first saw Tommy’s Tavern open when I was trick-or-treating with my son…. Fast-forward to today-we finally got the chance to stop in to grab an early Saturday night bite. We had been looking forward to it all day. We looked at the menu ahead of time and knew exactly what we wanted to order. My husband pulled out front and I ran inside thinking they would be packed. I asked specifically for booth and I was told there was only one by a 20 top party. I said oh I don’t think that will work for us and as I was walking out I looked over and saw another table which was a booth. I asked the hostess if that was available and she said it was- I said oh OK, I’m just going to have my husband park and we will all come in. We were less than two minutes. At that point in time, other people started coming in so I walked right up to the hostess and said just to let you know I am back with my husband and my son. We will just stand over here until you are ready. She acknowledged me and said no problem. My husband and I waited patiently with our five-year-old son who was becoming somewhat impatient. Numerous people were given tables and we continued to wait. I finally walked up to the hostess and said that host just sat a family at the table we had been waiting for and my husband had said to him that is our table we have been waiting for it and was ignored. When the host walked back, he threw his hands up right in front of us and said “oh well.” We literally could not believe what we were witnessing and how we were treated. My husband and I are very hard-working people, just like many other local families that live in the area. We did not expect to be treated like that at a fairly new business that we were getting ready to patron. We were pretty disappointed and quite frankly, appalled at the way we were treated so we asked to speak with a manager. A woman named Jenn came out. She was very pleasant. We explained our situation. She was apologetic and looked around for another table for us, but unfortunately none of them fit our needs. We specifically needed a booth, so we opted to leave. Perhaps one day we will try Tommy’s again. My husband is really disgusted though, so I don’t know if that will happen…looks like Tommy’s needs to spend a little extra time training...
Read moreGood amount of parking spots. No outdoor seating (yet?). 4-sided bar table/counter area (not pictured) provides lots of seating and forms large square w/ bartender at center. Visible flames from open kitchen shows that your food is not prepared by Chef Microwave. Plenty of booth seating and many large TVs playing sports content everywhere. Very large number of friendly and professional staff. Great atmosphere/vibes, but no billiards or darts game area.
Greeted w/ smile. Quickly seated at booth table for 5 w/o reservation - not very crowded at 4PM on Sunday. Music was at a human volume at this time - able to hear and talk if on date. Server immediately came to take order and was very patient and attentive.
Tap water was free and came with ice + lemon slice + plastic straw. No free bread. Pizza was a bit small for $20 but cheese was tasty. Burger was a great size. Ribs and NY strip slightly below or comparable to Outback quality. Cape May IPA smelled really good. Very impressed by the menu size - even serve coffee. Appreciate the transparency of having the menu with prices posted on their website. Prices comparable to Manhattan bars.
While eating, noticed booth seats are not very cushiony and with faux leather. After, saw bathrooms are very clean. Faucets have low water flow. Automatic soap dispenser. Air dry hands or has paper towels. Was able to clean hands after ribs very easily.
No problem getting server’s attention for bill. Was thanked and waived goodbye by staff at end. Overall, very satisfied and will be back for drinks after work...

They were very nice as I entered the rest. I asked them can I please sit facing a TV so I can see the game. They were EXTREMELY ACCOMMODATING. SOOO NICE. WAITRESS WAS PLEASANT . (,DONT MIND THE CAPS MY PHONE GOES SMALLTO BIG LETTERS SORRY. ANYWAY, she must of known I was. A real Yankee fan because she just knew to not be in my way. She just asked me something and she would move right away. I thought this was very thoughtful of her. Thank you . So it was great no one bothered me . The place was pretty busy . I loved all the TV's all around , and how they played almost everything going on that night . They try to please everyone. The food was great. And good portion. I really really enjoyed my self. If the Yankees wouldn't of lost that night , I def would of kept coming back to keep watching them here . I really loved it. I didn't sit at the bar , which I really wanted to do (because there are tables , booths and a bar ) I didn't sit there because there were only men there and I felt a bit uncomfortable , so I just sat at a table. Thank u , to all employees and manager that accommodated me...
