Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Edinburg

I’ve been to this place several times when I’m around Edinburg. I walked in around 5:45 and there was a guy there. I asked for a quart of cotton candy and strawberry ice cream with strawberries, I noticed he filled the quart with only cotton candy ice cream and I let him know it was with strawberry also his reply was “you said cotton candy only and I already filled it”. I asked if he could change it and he replied “I guess”. I had never been treated or disrespected like that from any business. The lid was full of melted ice cream. I still bought the ice cream, get home, open it and on the first two scoops I only get a couple of pieces of strawberries lol. My only complaint is that the charge about $3 extra for them. I’m just going to laugh about this but this kid shouldn’t be working with customers. I see the owner all the time and she looks strict. I guess she made a mistake...

ONE STAR NOT FIVE!! But a gave it five so it would be seen so people will be aware. I took my family to this place today. The employees are very nice and helpful. However, the owner looked at my kids and I like we were there to cause trouble. Rolling her eyes and staring at me in my face blankly. It was an Indian woman, older in age. Very rude encounter with her. She made it a point to come around the counter just to stand and stare me in my face as I payed for our orders. The woman ringing me up looked at me and said "I know" because she saw me acknowledge her staring with my own look back. Not ever going here again. Dairy...

This place is like old reliable. It's a place to chill with friends on a late weekend night or in the middle of a hot summer day. The store is clean and kept up. The owner is very friendly and courteous as well as the rest of the employees. The ice cream is good and comparable to that of Ben & Jerry's and Coldstone Creamery. My only gripe is the price. I purchased a regular size cone, coffee flavored ice cream with oreo cookie crumbs and the total came out to $8! To me that is ridiculously overpriced.
