Oakwood Pizza Edison — Restaurant in Edison

I don’t ever write reviews on places however, I felt it quite necessary. Figured I’d try this place out being that it was close to my house. Unfortunately, Worst vegan pizza I’ve ever tried. Disappointed even to the presentation of the pizza. I would recommend it should be expressed that the cheese your getting is sliced deli like cheese not shredded. Not only did the cheese not melt but it was tasteless. I appreciate including vegan options however do to my experience I would highly recommend you try somewhere else!

Edit: Just because we appreciate the vegan option doesn't mean your business should get a good review. If you offer a dish it should be prepared with the customer in mind. As a vegan customer, it was not a pleasant experience. If you were to have sold a normal cheese pizza you would have shredded the cheese, correct? So why is it okay to not inform the customer that your vegan cheese is indeed sliced? I promise you our whole pizza was nice and hot. Vegan cheese has a higher melting point then normal cheese. It does not react the same way under heat that normal cheese does.Please don't spread misinformation on that. Unfortunately your cheese was not melted correctly. We don't claim you are a vegan restaurant however we go to a restaurant to EAT so if our eating experience is poor our review would reflect that. Once again I can only review what I order and eat. My review was clearly intended for those who are vegan or people in general that are looking to try your vegan options. In which case I’d recommend they would try...

2 times in a row I ordered a Career salad. Cant get any easier then that. 1st. Time I just got romaine lettuce nothing else no cheese no croutons. So when I ordered today I told them and asked for extra cheese. I get my order incorrect again. No cheese and extra a side of balsamic dressing. I call to tell them and the girl I ordered with couldn't even admit the mistake. So after speaking to the manager I asked for my money back. So he said after the lunch rush. So i guess i have to wait to eat lunch because of thier mistake. They came and gave me less than what was charged. They didn't refund my tip. And they still charged me the delivery fee. So I called again. The man said am I serious making such a fuss over cheese.... we as a matter of fact I am. I ordered it... I'm paying for it... I expect it. Period end. So of you want to be treated badly or just eat what they bring you with out a fuss and pay thru the nose keep ordering. They are completely incompetent, rude and think they are superior. Even the delivery boy. I asked him to relay a message and his reply was you have a phone dont you. They really know what...

I recently ordered from Oakwood Pizza, and my experience was, unfortunately, a series of disappointments. The delivery was extremely late—over an hour past the expected time—and when I contacted the restaurant to inquire about it, I was met with unhelpful responses and no offer of compensation. I understand that delays can happen, but the lack of concern or willingness to make things right was frustrating.

When I escalated the issue to the manager, I was met with a dismissive attitude that only added to my frustration. Instead of apologizing or offering a solution, the manager was rude and seemed uninterested in resolving the situation.

As for the food itself, while it arrived 35 minutes late and was good, it wasn't enough to redeem the overall experience. In an era where customer service is key, it’s hard to overlook how poorly I was treated, especially when the quality of the meal itself couldn’t compensate for the terrible service.

The positive was the driver who was extremely apologetic, more than the manager I spoke with.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here...
