I’m so happy I found Halal Bowls! I’ve been in Edison for 6 months and I just found them. I wish I knew about them all this time. The food is great, especially if your a vegetarian, it’s very affordable too. I have to give credit to Summit, he’s usually there when I come in and has always been so friendly, patient and helpful. I have to say he’s a big part of why I came in a second time, customer service counts, then the food being as good as the first time made me come back again and again. My boyfriend also raves about their buffalo wings. Oh and their fries too, yummy. I actually just picked up two falafel pockets for lunch tomorrow so I can share the experience with my Auntie, her living so far away it’s the only way she can enjoy it. Lucky for her we work next door to each other. If you get the sauce on the side it’s just as good the next day. So... check them out, I’m confident you won’t be disappointed I only take the time to give a review to whoever actually deserves it, good and bad. Thanks Halal bowls for making it a little easier to live in Edison hahaha. FIVE STARS FOR SURE!
I almost forgot! I never liked baklava until I had it here,...
Read moreI know most of these comments are from Nj halal boys benefactor. A lot of these comments are taking shots at halal guys to make a name for themselves. How do you take shots at a restaurant but yet steal they’re name, steal they’re food items, steal they’re uniforms, steal the general idea of halal guys. Oh i forgot it’s different because they have fried chicken, no. From reading through the real comments and people saying it has no flavor and the white sauce is not the same it’s probably because (no offense to whoever gets mad) the ownerships are not from the same ethnic background. One franchise (The halal guys) was started from Arabs who opened franchises all around New York and New Jersey and the other store in Edison is owned by Pakistanians. Pakis don’t even eat halal meat. Once again no offense but you guys really couldn’t compare the two. Halal boys bite everything halal guys have. I haven’t even tried the food and quite frankly i wouldn’t want to because i wouldn’t want to eat at a place who says they’re better than the other but copy the general idea of a main chain in halal guys but yet looks like subway when you walk in. I...
Read moreThis place is disgusting and unsanitary. EAT AT YOUR OWN RISK. The shrimp platter ordered, was VERY salty and the rice was overcooked. The owner is rude & unprofessional. It amazes me how businesses are quick to take your money but even quicker to refuse a refund request and have the audacity to not rectify a situation when there is something wrong with your purchase. I requested a refund or to come back the next day for a different meal since they were closing (until further observation. See below). He pretended to not speak english and stated "he doesnt make the food. He orders it, so its not his fault so he's not providing a refund." What?! He expects to keep my $13 for a high blood pressure? Nope. I'll let my credit card company handle that.
Just an FYI, excellent customer service goes far! It's the customers that keep you in business and will protect your business. You can't provide poor customer service, have your son sweeping floors & cleaning tables with no gloves, just to go in the back & prep someone's order without washing their hands...AND have molded deserts up for sale! Trust me. I'll never bring my hard earn...
