When I first saw Papa Pancho on Man vs. Food, my head exploded. I couldn't understand how someone actually came up with this food and why I haven't I heard of it or the concept before: Indian food ingredients on nan-like bread set as a traditional pizza pie!? Of course!!! It instantly made so much sense.
Papa Pancho, you're a Mad Scientist. These out-of-the-(pizza)-box pizza pies are outrageous and delicious. I love Indian food. I love the spices. I love the flavors. If you're like me, you'll love Papa Pancho.
Since it was my first visit, I didn't jump head first into this experience. I wanted to stay within the realm of what I knew I'd enjoy based on my Indian food experiences. Tandoori. When mama kicks you out of the house at night with no dinner, Tandoori will keep you safe.
Tandoori Paneer Makhani: Tandoori Paneer, Red Onions, Jalapeno Cilantro, Makhani Sauce, Cheese
Tandoori Chicken: Tandoori Chicken, Red Onions, Jalapeno Cilantro, Makhani Sauce, Cheese
Roasted Potatoes Masti: Thinly Sliced Roasted Yukon Potatoes, Roasted Garlic, Red Onions, Green & Red Pepper, Arrabbiata Sauce, Cheese
At $9.99 for a 12" pie, I wanted to try everything but I also wanted to savor the experience and have a reason to come back so I limited my order to 3. The pies were delicious and surprisingly authentically flavored. You'd think something would've gotten lost during the process of converting traditional Indian food to a common fast food-like design but that wasn't the case. The tradition of Indian food holds up, which makes the experience of eating it as a pizza even better.
After experiencing this culinary marriage of what's become commonplace traditional and modern foods, to me, Papa Pancho isn't a pizzeria so I can't compare it to the countless pizzerias I've been to in my life and it's not quite Indian food so I would do it a disservice to compare it to your typical Indian restaurants. Instead, Papa Pancho stands alone, creatively using delicious yet traditional ingredients in a new and creative way. If you like trying new foods, if you like Indian, and if you love pizza, you're going to want more Papa Pancho.
Thanks Papa for making my...
Read morePapa Pancho is like this little brother of Moghul Express. They are both (I guess) owned and operated by Moghul Express and have a common entrance. On one hand, Moghul Express serves Indian food while on the other, there’s Papa Pancho serving delicious pizzas with an Indian twist.
Let me start by saying that this place is overly crowded during the weekends, be it indoors or for takeouts and delivery. There was a huge line of cars waiting for their orders along with a similarly long queue of people waiting outside for their mobile orders and I was one of them.
I had ordered a couple of pizzas online (Takeout) during a Friday evening and my experience waiting for my food was absolutely horrible. I waited for more than an hour and a half to get my pizzas. There was an endless line of people waiting outside for their food and with each passing minute, people just kept coming. The demand and popularity of this place was through the roof and I was taken aback just looking at everything.
I had ordered a couple of pizzas, one Tandoori paneer Makhani and the other Schezwan chicken. The pizzas were amazing with great flavors. The paneer one was a little more flavorful and had that punch.
Was the food worth the money? Yes. Was it delicious? Absolutely! Was the wait time worth it? NO. 1.5hrs for a couple of pizzas is not something I’m willing to try every other weekend or any weekend for that matter. The food is absolutely great but the management needs to do something about their pickup/...

Full Review: Recently visited the restaurant based on a friend's recommendation. Was really glad to have tried it and found it pretty unique serving Indian styled pizza. The pizzas served here a fusion of thin newyork style pizza and various Indian dishes. It is a pure vegetarian restaurant with decent ambience and really great pricing. Parking is available and can get crowded at evenings.
Visited with a group and we ended up trying a few different pizzas here. Found the Bombay sandwich pizza the most unique, it's taste reminded me of the typical grilled sandwiches served on the streets of Mumbai. The Pav Bhaji pizza was tasty and flavorful served with actually Bhaji on the pizza base. We also tried the schezwan Paneer Tikka pizza which was great. The restaurant also serves a few tropical flavor ice-creams at the gelato counter. Loved the custard apple(sitaphal) icecream - a must try for dessert.
Overall a must try restaurant on Oak tree road to try the unique Indian styled pizza and some great icecreams.
Recommendations: Pizza: Bombay sandwich, Pav Bhaji Icecream: Custard apple...
