Food was decent, ambience was meh but had bad experience with their borderline shady practices.
The menu flashed on their large monitors and the printed menu on their counter does not have the correct price. You have to scan the QR code on the wall at your table to see a different menu that has higher prices. Not obvious at all.
After your meal, when you're ready to pay, they don't provide an itemized breakdown and printed receipt but instead bring the card reader to your table and tell you the final amount you owe. Then they point blank ask if you're paying tip with your card or by cash, making it look like tip is not optional.
I wouldn't mind tipping for a good service but what they don't mention is there is a service charge already included in the amount you paid by credit card but you wouldn't have known because they did not provide the printed receipt before you swiped your card. They still ask if you're paying tip.
I find the lack of transparency and these shady practices very concerning. Fix your menu, fix the prices, provide a printed receipt before you swipe the credit card and let the customers decide if they want to tip or not. No need to get in their face and have a discussion about a tip. This tipping culture is totally out of control.

Read moreI went there ( paradise biryani pointe , oak tree road ,near Patel Bros.) few weeks back to have goat biryani ,first thing that this place is not at all hygenic when I went to wash my hands the handwash was unavailable n bathroom door was also stuck I couldn't open it , some how I managed with my own sanitizer to clean my hands n when we were waiting for the food some houseflies were flying around our table all the time , we didn't change the table because they were every where n then finally food came n they got a biryani which was like a small mountain on a plate whenever we we're trying to serve it , it was falling on the table , they even don't have common sense that rice n biryani should be served in a pot ,we felt quite disappointed n the quantity was very less compared to the price they charge n we tried their veg biryani also it was really worst the rice was not properly mixed it was tasteless ...😏 I'm giving 2 stars only because the taste of goat biryani was ok , we were feeling as if we are sitting at a street side cheap restaurant 😣😣😣...
Read moreIf there is a place in New Jersey, where the concept, taste, affordability and the flavors of an authentic Nawab-era Biriyani has still been preserved, it is the Paradise Biriyani in Edison. I must’ve had almost everything on the menu that includes chicken and Goat but my most favorite ones till date remain these - Goat Biriyani, Goat Sukha, Dum ka Gosh, Goat Keema Biriyani, Chicken Biriyani, Chilly Chicken and Chicken Lolipop. The curries and appetizers are really good but when it comes down to Goat/Chicken Biriyani - right from the timed cooked aromatic basmati rice to the tenderness of that flavorful dum meat in your mouth, the taste will leave you mouth watering and fully nostalgic. It’s a must-must try, especially the Goat Biriyani. The ambience and service here is amazing and the place is family & kids friendly. Lastly, I often visit this place with my best friends and the amazing Mohammad Bhai always serves us with the best of his service politeness...
