I had Dave’s Hot chicken and fell in love with it. When they first the Edmond location it was the best. I went a couple of week ago and found a hair in my sandwich. Didn’t make a big deal about it.bu then I went yesterday and it was the worst experience. We ordered the Hot level slider and tender. For both our orders the chicken was dry, tasteless, and the pieces were tiny. They barely filled the slider. In addition, there was only like 4 pieces of slaw in the sandwich. The other tender was tiny compared to the other times we had gone. It was also super dry.
The manager was having an interview and was speaking SO loud, sitting from across the room she was loud. It was ridiculous. With the music already loud, her voice made the experience horrible. There were about 3 more tables, but her voice overwhelmed everybody else.
A couple hours after eating Dave’s and not eating anything’s else, our stomachs started to hurt. We both felt like throwing up. So now we’re thinking it might’ve been sitting there and gotten bacteria. Which the thought of that is disgusting, especially after having paid over $30 for our chicken meal/ no drink.
We came out very dissapointed. Not much feeling left going back. Not worth it at...
Read moreUpdate: maybe it was because it was a initially a new experience for me, but after eating here a few more times, my opinion of it has somewhat went down a tad to more like 4/5 instead of 5/5. I actually like Raising Cane’s better because it’s more consistent & had better sauce. Now, if dave‘s had canes’ sauce, it might be a different story…. Still very good though. Just needs better sauce.
Omg I thought Raising Cane’s was good, this is even better (but maybe I’m just a sucker for spicy food) I do prefer the canes sauce over Dave’s sauce tho. But the spice on the chicken takes it to another level.
For Kids, one can of course order the chicken mild so it’s not hot & ok for the kiddos.
Both the sliders & strips are immaculate. I’m a grown man & one slider & the fries was enough for a satisfying lunch/meal (unless you eat 2000+ calories a meal, then maybe get 2.) 10/10. Only complaint was that I was not told the sliders come with slaw on them, wish I had known that bc I would’ve asked for no slaw instead of having to scrape it off & lose all my sauce… But you live & you learn. The medium chicken was absolutely perfection, not so hot that it makes you miserable but still an enjoyable...
Read moreWe've been wanting to try Dave's Hot Chicken for a long time after seeing it hyped up 24/7 online. So we went to Dave's last night. No line at drive-thru. Girl at the window was very nice. GF ordered the medium 2 slider meal and it was really good. Great flavor perfect amount of spice. I ordered the 2 slider meal and chose hot. It was really spicy but I enjoyed it mostly. It had great flavor. Had to take a break after the first slider before I finished. If you like spicy food you can handle Hot while eating. Now today I'm feeling the after effects. I've been frequenting the porcelain throne off and on all day long at work. But Hot was just testing the waters. Next time I go I'm trying Reaper. I can't just ignore it especially after seeing people on Reddit talk about it. I have to know for myself. Hoping it has flavor unlike Wingstops Atomic wings. Their atomic is just pure burning stinging hatred no flavor. So far I love Dave's Hot Chicken. Thanks for an awesome(and painful) experience.
The sauce is okay. I'd prefer ranch or bleu...
