I made a pickup order to Jolas Kitchen and came to pick it up with my mom. My grandmother is from Nigeria and she cooks for us all the time and zi wanted to branch out and try other African foods. This place is def the best place I've been. The portion sizes were decent and the flavor was amazing. The atmosphere of the store was bright and cheerful amd it was nice to see other cultures come and try the food. I give both food and atmosphere 5 stars. The only reason I gave service a 4 star is because my rice and stew was missing meat amd there was very little sauce compared to all of the rice. I also got the Jollof Rice and was given no plantain even though it said it has it included. Overall though my rating for Jolas Kitchen is 5 stars. Much thanks to the owners. I will definitely come again and again. I recommended people going to their food trucks as well! 💜 Edit: The owner called and personally let me know what happened and it wasnt their fault at all! Doordash often messes up on translating the order on their app. After looking through ither reviews, the issue often seems to lie with 3rd party apps. I am very impressed with the way she handled my concern and am very thankful to have ordered...
Read moreJolas Kitchen catered at our wedding on December 27th. I cannot say enough good things about Chef Jola, she was so communicative, and made excellent recommendations and suggestions, which was so helpful to me as a first time bride who had never planned such a large event before. I have never worked with such thoughtful and kind caterers, they really thought of everything and made the night such a wonderful and stress free experience for us. The food was absolutely amazing and our guests could not stop talking about how much they loved everything, from the Beef Suya (my personal favorite) to the Cole Slaw, to the Jollof and Meat Pies, and the Puff Puff. A lot of brides don’t eat much on their wedding day, but I cleaned my whole plate and even took some home with me. ...
