Daphnes Bar — Restaurant in Edmonds

We're big fans of Daphne's in Bellingham; this was our second visit to the Edmonds location. The first visit was great - friendly, skilled bartender (not Des the primary bartender; someone from Bellingham), excellent cocktails, and good conversation with the other patrons. This time, a different bartender (also not Des) delivered two poorly balanced cocktails (one also clearly sat on ice too long before straining), and when asked about food said, "We have a cheese and meat plate that is deliberately underwhelming and over-priced. Food just isn't our thing." Appreciated his honesty, but, well..... We'll give it one more try IF there's a different bartender. At those prices, a well-made...

We absolutely love Daphne‘s.

Desmond is a fixture here. I cannot say that he has ever steered us wrong with the drinks that we have explored. He was the one that actually turned us onto a Czech mule. It’s like a Moscow, but with some very specific liquor. (honestly I can’t remember what it is at the moment although it’s good I will update later if I can recall.)

I would highly recommend Daphne’s bar without reservation . We have had such a wonderful time here together. We also love how small the circle of people is here because of the capacity..

On a Saturday night, a group of us who are not drinkers but are looking for new experiences ended up here. There were no seats available, but a very nice elderly couple told us that they were about to leave and we could take their spot. Shortly after we took our seats, the waiter greeted us and showed us the menu. We asked for recommendations, and he quickly told us what he thought we might enjoy based on our taste profile. The drinks we ordered arrived quickly. The atmosphere was good and comfortable despite the low temperature, although I would've liked the music volume to have been lower.
