I still like coming here. This place is never empty. Great cocktails even for a one-rounder like myself from time to time. I do my on and off stops here to say hello, chat a little bit with the bartenders or not. They are very cool here and are friendly. My brother and I decided to grab a quick drink. Our bartender asked me what I'm up to and I said, I was thinking and planning a short drive camping trip. The guy said a few places that I might keep in mind. Cool, right? This is one of the reason I chill here at this spot. It's relaxing, plenty of food to choose from, plenty of wide screen tvs' all around. They have available seating area outside, they also have these big warmers if the weather is on a chilly side, they go ON. The red ruby lemon drop I had should be a 3-peat but It is a Sunday. So taking care of myself today is a must. It was very good tho--I thought you should know. It wasn't overwhelming with alcohol like most of us would like on a Friday or a Saturday night because that is likely a good thing for most us party animals. Tonight was pretty nice and mellow. Just the right amount of a small buzz that make me smile is a big deal. Teehee... This place is open for big parties too-- whether it's your b-day, hosting some charity event, or any celebratory event. Just ask and book in advance. This place has a really...
Read moreWe have been coming to Taki Tiki for more than 15 yrs. Atmosphere has always been fun, servers wonderful. On Sunday, 9/12, we were at the classic car show and decided to stop in for lunch. Our waitress returned as she couldn't read her own writing of what we ordered, did not bring us our wine, so we had to stop another server to ask for it. The waitress had her long hair loose and hanging in her face. On several occasions, she brushed her hair behind her ears, and went on with business. I am guessing she did not wash her hands every time she brushed her hair away. We asked her if she could pull her hair back as we did not want hair in our food. She brought a male server to us to say he would be taking over as "he has short hair". We felt this rude and unnecessary. With health regulations, you would think any restaurant would require their servers with long hair to have it pulled back, as to not get hair in ones food. We are a bit shocked as this has not happened in the past. Sorry to say, we will think twice...
Read moreWe went on Tuesday 7/9/2024 at approximately 4 pm, shortly after they opened. There were a handful of tables outside that were all full - about 10 total people. Inside there's a large bar and seating area, and lots of tiki bar decor. Taki tiki bar indeed and it's wonderful.
Inside there were 8 people seated in addition to us. There was one hostess/server/bartender and she was doing a great job getting people seated, taking orders, and delivering food. She had very good customer service. I can't speak to the food because we only had drinks. They serve American bar food/Hawaiian style food that you typically find at most tiki bars. It all looked good going out but that's all I say regarding food. Other reviews have indicated that it is good.
Our group had 4 different drinks. We shared a papa mai tai, a cosmo, a tom tai, and a blue Hawaiian. All were well made, tasty, and served promptly from the time we ordered. We all had fun and would definitely go back next time we're...
