I went to the the original location a few times. Their cookies were DELICIOUS! Life brought changes to us both and I was determined to get back to Artisan when things settled down for us both. This morning was that time for me!
I stopped in to the new location, I'm passed it unknowingly 3 weeks ago, looking for scones but they were out. Early bird gets the scones Undeterred, I snagged 2 danishes, blackberry brioche and cheese. Both were delicious. The blackberry is definitely a bit thicker because it is brioche based but it's flavor is nice, texture is fluffy. The cheese Danish is larger, flaking, amd the cheese flavor is just as you would expect. Cheese danishes are a favorite of mine! I'll definitely return because they have so many things to order. Not to mention, the wall of breads from rye to sourdough.
Now, the atmosphere is comfortable, community, welcoming, and cozy. They offer WiFi which is great for folks looking for a hideaway to do work. Their hours are probably perfect, early enough to start and late enough to encourage people to get out and about the rest of the day.
I'm glad I returned to see thos little engine that could get up the mountain and find a steady pace. I'll be back now that I've...
Read moreWe got BLT Quiche, baked oatmeal topped with strawberries and walnuts and a chocolate croissant. The oatmeal was lights out, and this is coming from someone that normally doesn't care for oatmeal. I would seriously come here specifically for the oatmeal, it was that good. The quiche was really good. And the chocolate croissant was excellent. How they managed to get chocolate filling in something that flaky, without destroying the croissant is beyond me. I thought this was a breakfast place, but once we got there they have a huge menu. Now I gotta go back and try their sandwiches and pizza. There is also a decent size shelf for homemade breads. The baguette was phenomenal. I wish we would have bought some of the other flavors, as well. Oh yea, and they have coffees too. Will definately be heading back. One last thing, it's in a historic building across from the courthouse, so the building had a...
Read moreThis place is what every downtown needs. The baristas are knowledgeable, experienced and pleasant. The food is amazing - you describe your desired sandwich and they will make it for you. I am embarrassed to admit that last week - for the first time - we bought a loaf of cinnamon-raisin bread. It makes wonderful toast to compliment any breakfast. But, aside from particular sandwiches we prefer, my wife and I are hooked on what are amazing pizzas. That’s right. Pizza! I like the more traditional with the marinara sauce and meat and green pepper. But, she gets a garlic butter topping with spinach, chicken and mixed cheeses. Other than the exemplary bakery goods, I believe the pizza is the sole menu offering on Fridays and Saturdays. Those pizzas make any...
