had an absolutely horrible experience with the new piercer. she was very nice and respectful. but i will say, i have been coming here for years and have gotten most all my piercings done by donny. i’m not sure how long this woman has been piercing and i hate to say she did not do a good job. the experience was one like i have never seen, she pierced my friends nose and did not pull the piercing through with the needle, i think it’s because she did not use the right needle (the needle was pretty big, bigger than i usually see) or just didn’t know what she was doing. nostril piercings really should be a one and done thing, i get sometimes there can be issues but she just did not know how to handle it. She tried for 15 maybe 20 minutes to get the piercing in his nose, there was blood all over his face, neck, and shirt. not only was the experience very bad but she used a hoop. any piercer should know using hoops to start with a nose piercing should be avoided because it causes the hole to heal in a curve and cuts into the tissue, so when he wants to change it now it will be more difficult. hoops do not allow room for swelling and drainage. she also did not give ANY aftercare instructions for him. i had to tell him what to buy, what to do, and where to get everything. i paid for his piercing because there’s just no way i was going to let him pay for that experience. especially after he’s probably going to have to take it out given the trauma his tissue has experienced and with it being a hoop it’s more likely to get infected. I love evermore as a whole, everyone is always so nice and they do a great job. i’ve gotten piercings here, all my tattoos and they’re great, i just don’t think this piercer has enough experience or is ready...
Read moreMy sister and I didn’t have a very good experience at this shop. I came in for a nostril piercing and my sister for an eyebrow piercing in February of this year. After getting this done we were instructed to use soap and wound wash to clean our piercings. After 6 months our piercings weren’t looking like they were healing well so we wanted to get some advice and what to do. We went back in and the piercer didn’t seem like he cared to hear about what we had to say and was overall rude which was surprising because he wasn’t like that when we initially got pierced. We decided to change our jewelry while we were there though to see if that would help. After a month neither of our piercings were looking better. We decided to go to an actual APP certified shop in St. Louis and the piercer there told us what we were thinking when he looked at my sisters eyebrow. Her eyebrow piercing rejected and he told us it was because it wasn’t piercing correctly. He also told us the quality of our jewelry wasn’t the best. When we went to Evermore we didn’t get a selection of jewelry at all, which is interesting compared to the huge selection at the St. Louis shop. He also told us that soap (especially scented soap, which is what the piercer at Evermore suggested) isn’t the best to use with piercings. In conclusion, this is our experience so do with that what you will. I would just suggest doing research on piercers and going to a...
Read moreI hate leaving negative reviews, but I gotta be real with yall. Thomas Plunker is a bad tattoo artist. Let me start with the good, though; he was pretty nice, as was everyone else. It's a very welcoming environment. Their prices are fair and comparable for size, in my opinion, if they were quality tattoos. If it weren't for these things, I'd be leaving one star and wishing for no star options.
Now, that being said. My tattoo, aesthetically, is exactly what I asked for. However, Thomas went SO deep with my tattoo, it continued to bleed for two full days. I'm on day 5, and it HURTS like the devil. I have areas that are straight up raw flesh, like no skin, no ink left. I cannot emphasize how much it HURTS. I keep praying it doesn't get infected. This is not my first tattoo, I have several others, two that are significantly larger, and a couple smaller ones, and not a single one was bad like this. It hurt awful when it was being done, and bled more than any tattoo I've ever had before, but at that time, I assumed it was due to the location. I see now that dude really screwed up my arm. I'm scared to see how it heals.
This is an important PSA to please, look through your artists Instagram. Just because a shop is good, doesn't mean every artist in...
