Visited 14 December. Service was a bit slow getting started. The hostess was great, seated us right away. Our server apparently knew some patrons and was spending a lot of time with them as it took about 10 minutes to even order drinks. Some of it was on us, as we didn't notice the drink menu on the table. But then we were ready, but she was chatting up the other table. We saw other servers checking their phones, so this could improve. Bathrooms were a little weird. There was a unisex bath and then a women's. Please decide, make them both unisex or gender based. Edwardsville is a college town, unisex would be fine and most accommodating. The food redeemed the experience. We had the Beer Cheese Fondue. Great flavor on the Beer Cheese and the Pretzel slices were toasted to our liking. Save the cheese from this appetizer, it's good on many items. I had the Foundry Burger. Giant, a healthy 200# man could probably get the petite and still be filled up. The side of Fried Brussels Sprouts was really great. It's giant, so I cannot imagine the app size which is bigger. (They are good dipped in the beer cheese, a pattern will emerge here.) My bride had the Hangover Melt, a multi-cheese grilled cheese with a generous slice of fried bologna. Don't miss it. She had the mac-n-cheese as her side. We both liked the sandwich. Of course I dipped a corner of it in the Beer Cheese fondue, and that was a winner. I found the Mac n Cheese a bit bland, but she liked it. So you know what I did. I perked it up a bit by combining the Mac n Cheese with a bit of the Fried Brussels Sprouts and some of the Beer Cheese Fondue for the perfect bite. We took 1/2 of the Foundry Burger and 1/2 the Hangover Melt home as leftovers. Generous portions. Service seemed to get better when the known party left and the place got a bit more busy as the Blues game came on the TV. We were almost about to say let's not come back after the long initial wait. The food has us thinking we might try it again. If the service experience is improved, I'd have no problem revising to a full 5.

By far the this is the best run establishment I have ever frequented! The food is incredible, the bartenders are hospitable, the owner is accessible and the staff will make you feel qute wonderful! Live music on Saturday afternoons and the patrons are some of the most friendly people you’ll ever meet! I reside in Las Vegas where hospitality has become an art form but the staff at the foundry has taken it to a whole new level!

After a great Mother's Day morning we stopped by here for a bite to eat. It was a delicious meal the Foundry Burger was one of the tastiest burgers I've had in a while accompanied by by some delicious Greek fries. The rest of the family had delightful meals as well. The only issue I had was the pickles on my burger where I had requested none. Thankfully the rogue pickles did not ruin the burger.

First time customer on 8/2/25 celebrating a friend’s bachelorette. I was excited to try this place out and was disappointed. This review speaks for no one other than myself in our group. The waitress was wonderful, very kind and understanding of our large group of ladies. She kept the bottomless mimosas going for the gals and everyone was having a good time. I ordered the eggs benedict but ordered the sunny side up eggs overhard. Normally I wouldn’t have but I am pregnant and being careful of my consumptions. They came out a little runny so my friend asked the waitress if we could get them overhard. We heard her tell the kitchen multiple times. While waiting for the corrected eggs a blond woman, who I can only assume was some type of manager, came out to rudely and condescendingly inform me that “hollandaise sauce is made with raw egg”. I wasn’t going to argue with her and just said “Nope, nevermind, I don’t want anything at all.” This outing was about a friend and I didn’t want anymore unwanted attention than what she rudely drew to me. Hollandaise sauce is not just “made with raw egg” … everything made with an egg starts with a raw egg. Hollandaise, if made correctly, is egg yolk tempered with hot butter and lemon juice and, IF made properly, is cooked to a non solid but non scrambled texture, creating a thick fluffy sauce that emulsifies with the butter and lemon juice. The egg is in fact cooked but it’s not a solid state of cooked like most think of as “cooked”. It is not a raw egg drizzle like she seems to think and declared rudely. Not long after I declined anything further the waitress brought out a plate of scrambled eggs, bacon and toast which was incredibly kind of the kitchen to send out and I appreciate their gesture because I was starving. It was very good. I was kindly comped my meal. This review isn’t about the kitchen or the waitress, it’s about the woman manager and how she treated me because how you interact with customers matters. She shamed me into not wanting anything at all when it would’ve just been easier to correct the eggs. BUT, perhaps, she did me a favor because the hollandaise here is just a “raw egg” sauce, I suppose??? According to her it is. I will def give this place a try again, the sweet potato tots my friend gave me were delicious and everyone’s food looked amazing, I will just hope she’s not there to spoil the experience for me on the...

Cool looking spot, but not what we were expecting. We were passing through after a baseball game on mothers day and stopped for lunch. There is no kids menu, which is fine...we improvised. I asked and was told 4 chicken strips come with the chicken strip & fry plate ($12.49) so I order it to split for my kids, along with an extra side of fries & side of mac & cheese. The plate comes and its 4 very small dry strips (maybe 1 inch by 2.5 inch pieces) and less than a handful of fries. The extra side of fries was about a handful. We get the bill, and the chicken & fries plate is $20. The waitress explains that she found out the $12.49 plate was only 2 strips, so she gave me the large plate. 😳 This $20 plate was simply an adult size portion if not less. I would NEVER have ordered that small of a plate for $20. I paid, but left there dumbfounded. It felt like a misprint or something priced wrong in their system. The price/quantity made no sense when compared to the rest of their menu. I ordered a chicken Parmesan sandwich & fries for myself which was served on the same size plate as the $20 chicken strip meal but it was only $12.49. The chicken parm was nothing special either. Used the same dry chicken strips and a sauce that tasted like a cheap jar from the grocery store and a very small serving of fries...but at least that was a respectable price. The experience was quite stressful because on top of the chicken strip price debacle, our waitress forgot to put in our friend's order, and later ended up charging their card for 3 times the price of their receipt(that situation was rectified, but not before a lot of confusion). Definitely wont be back. Food is just not very good and definitely not...
