Let me tell a fun story.
We went here for dinner, drive-thru. The lady at the window was very rude. After almost having a drink spilled on her due to the lid not being on firmly, my wife laughed it off. It never got on her, no harm, no foul. Then the window attendant went on to shove our meal out to her and attempt to quickly close the window, but my wife caught her to ask for fry sauce, which was, apparently, from the look on her face and her demeanor, the most annoying and tedious task she could think of doing.
Whatever, we got our food and we went home.
After unpacking the meals, I see that my cheese curds ($2 extra on a combo meal) were actually french fries. Well, that sucks, but I'll just get a refund on the $2. Called up the store, and the (I think) teenager who answered was incredulous that someone who got the wrong food on their upgrade would have the audacity of asking for a refund (just for the $2, not the whole meal. Everything else was good). So he handed it off to a manager, who proceeded to tell me that they only do cash refunds (I have the receipt with the order number and the card number. You can't do a refund? I've had other restaurants do this before.) and asked if I could come back into the store.
As I was already back at home and trying to get the kids settled and eating, no, I would not like to leave my family for at least a 30 minute round trip to get some cheese curds or $2 back.
I will say, the manager was nice, he had no outward expression of negativity on the phone call I had with him, and it's the only reason this has 2 stars instead of 1, but he offered to mail me a coupon for a free meal. Sure, I'll take that. So he took down my name and address, which leads us to today.
I received and opened the letter from the store manager, "[Standard apology text and how they always strive for excellence, yada yada]. I've enclosed a coupon for a free meal…"
Except… no they didn't. The only thing in the envelope was the letter, and I just have to say, that letter and and empty envelope is an apt analogy for the way this Freddy's is run. Empty promises.
I wouldn't bother with this location, or Freddy's in general, really. The food is… ok, but entirely too greasy, and way too expensive. The staff here is apathetic at best, rude and forgetful after that. I appreciate the management trying, but I just can't care enough to return to this store after a mediocre-to-lousy experience at best. Best to just go to another, better restaurant with cheese curds. Maybe one right down the road even that starts with a C and ends with a delicious pot...
Read moreI ordered food against my own rules. I had frozen curds from here before and upon returning them the workers were unapologetic and very rude. I ordered my food the girl was in a hurry when she handed my order and closed the window before I asked for condiments. Her words were polite but her actions weren't. No biggie. I'm driving and noticed the fries are horrible. Old, burnt food that wasn't fries was with burnt fries. Not eating that. Unacceptable but I'll eat the burger. Let me look at it first. RAW, FROZEN MEAT. The burgers are not thick to begin with so it doesn't take long to cook. I had to return it. I live 20 minutes away so I was not driving back the following day. It was 10:55 the store was closed. Lily came to the window then walked away without asking what I wanted. Other workers walked past the window for almost 5 minutes before someone finally came to the window. A guy appears and apologize for their unprofessional behavior but they all found something to be funny. He offered to remake my meal but why would I trust any of them to do the right with my food. You closing the store early means you are done working for the evening. My meal cost $11.07 he offered me $10.85. I informed him to look at the receipt and give me the proper amount. Of course he couldn't count and got it wrong again. It's okay to have a good time at work but WORK COMES BEFORE PLAY. Customer should not see horse play and then served a shitty meal. The receipts shows the time of the original order and the time of the refund. Photos with...
Read moreI dined in, since I've never had Freddy's before, and I wanted a steak burger. I'll admit, the food was very good, and well-priced. Being less than $10 for a double with fries puts it well below McDonalds, DQ, BK, and evenly priced with Steak and Shake, maybe a little more expensive. They didn't get to me for several minutes despite being in the front of the line, but I understand restaurants are busy, so it's understandable.
Everything was perfect except for one thing: the floors were very slippery. I don't know if the place wasn't mopped or wasn't properly mopped, but I was afraid I'd fall, and even more afraid someone in a vulnerable state, like the elderly, would fall. It's a law suit waiting to happen, and I hope this isnt a common occurrence at...
