Always loved it tonight I got a gallon jug of lemonade for the first time plus my drink plus my bag of food Food was fantastic Service was great as usual my cup holders were full o was alone I looked everywhere outside for a trash can but there was none I set an old drink on an outside table did not throw it did not empty it on the concrete some man who did not identify himself as the owner or the manager ran out the front door picked it up went up to my car saying I forgot something I said I could find a trash can and opened the car got out and took it back from him and said thank you he replied by saying dont get smart with me I said I did not I said thank you Now if he was a patron I excuse him but if he us the owner or manager he has no manners or knowledge on how to intervene with my behaviour he should have said nicely we or I need some trashcans here for the outside dining area since we are to bus our own tables inside and out Now should I bash and boycott this place and pass this along I did not litter on the ground I simply did not have enough room for all their products I just purchased I go there once or twice a week and I do not live in that city he should have thanked me for taking it back he was rude and mean and I hope and pray he isn't the owner treating his workers and horrible as his patrons there was a better kinder way to teach me a lesson if that was his goal for a 58 year old wife and mother I expect to hear back about this before I go forward to corporate thank you to whom this may concern or...
Read moreSo, this was my first experience at McAlister's on Sept 7th. I got the McAlister's club and a side of steamed broccoli. Walking in at about 230 pm, it really could have used a cleaning, it just looked dirty. Things swept into corners, sticky places on counters. Surprisingly, there was some kind of mgmt having a meeting right by the front door, but staff didn't seem to be doing anything extra.
Lot's of places look like that, so probably could have let that go, especially if they were busy for lunch, but I got a club. Meaning, it's not cooked so germs aren't killed off. My white plate it was served on was COVERED in quarter inch long black hairs. Even the bowl my broccoli was served in was COVERED in them. I turned the plate to see if I could find a spot without hair and saw some kind of dried sauce smeared on the edge. I ended my visit by vomiting what I had ate into their toilet in a not very clean bathroom.
It's a shame because I've been looking for a place that served a good club sandwich since my place in st Louis closed when the family retired. And the sandwich looked awesome. But I will never eat at that Edwardsville place again. That's unacceptable to serve food on a white plate with black hairs and dried sauce all over it. And if that was served to a customer, I don't even want to know what is going on in...
Read moreWILL NOT RETURN AGAIN!!! Terrible, horrible experience that McAlister's didn't make right! On Sunday, April 26, I drove through McAlister's and placed an order for two for lunch. From the time I arrived in line to the time I drove away with my food was an hour and twenty minutes!! When my food was brought to me, I asked if there was going to be any consideration for my long wait (discount coupons for a future purchase or a partial credit for that day's purchase). I was told they don't have any coupons to give, that they were short-staffed and the managers were in the kitchen. I get it ... I understand. But there was no mention of them being short-staffed or that my wait might be longer than usual when I pulled in line, and "longer than usual" doesn't mean 1:20 in a drive through. Unbeknownst to me, my husband had called McAlister's while I was waiting for my food and asked the manager to "comp" my lunch. The manager said, "yes, we can do that. I have her card information and can credit her purchase." I'M STILL WAITING ... A WEEK LATER AND I'M STILL WAITING, BUT LOSING HOPE THAT MCALISTER'S WILL SATISFY...
