the stars are only there for the food because my salad was good although i asked for it without a few items and it still had them on there. I debated writing this review at all, but i decided to do this in hopes the owner sees it.A few weeks ago, I was eatting a few booths away from the pie case in which i thought would be a simple peaceful meal but that was not the case. It was obvious to me that the woman who at first was standing at the front just staring at everyone, was the manager. First i thought it was odd that a young kid with curly hair kept going back and forth to where the ice cream was(which i only noticed because of the lids slamming) for mint chocolate chip ice cream , and the manager told him i don't care if you eat it but don't let the owner see. Shortly after my salad came i felt uncomfortable even being in the building watching her harass a male server about cleaning the pie case. It wasn't just her yelling at him one time, it was for the entire hour i was dining there,every time he wiped something she was acting as if it was not good enough and yelling more at him, and to top it all off she was smiling and giggling about it. As i shook my head in disbelief that a diner that has been there for 30 years would allow a woman that is suppose to be running it,to treat someone this way is unbelievable, if she does this in front of customers imagine how she acts when she thinks no one is watching or listening how she treats others. Clearly she does not care about her job as a manager as she said don't let the owners see, i am sure she lets more slide then just some ice cream, but harasses another over wiping a pie case? She obviously favored one server more then other. I even noticed other servers shaking their head at her acting this way. If this was my restaurant i would not allow that woman anywhere near it. I even asked my server if this was normal behavior for the manager and she just ackwardly said yes.She is a lawsuit waiting to happen because if i was that server i would of easily talked to a lawyer for harassment in the workplace. If it was up to me that woman would be fired to make that diner a better place. I hope the owner sees this because if i was uncomfortable i could only imagine how the servers must feel. I think i would only return in hopes she no longer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered chic wings as appetizer we ate together, I ordered the winter special filet. It came out in a soup with white wine cherry tomatoes and broccoli no pasta. I ordered broccoli and carrots on the side the server could have told me it was broccoli already there. I did not eat my salad. I ate my French onion soup, the cheese was over cooked making it go bad. The steak meal was $30 it comes like 3 course I had jello for desssert. My husband had a cheesesteak with cheese fries. This is not the point of the review. The review is we came home and have been in the toilet it is 4:34 am and have not stopped throwing up and diarrhea. The sad thing was I brought the food home and gave it to my kids and now we are all rotating the bathroom between my 6 kids and my husband! What is crazy is that we didnāt share our entrees, but him and I have the same excruciating stomach pain including my daughter who had some of the filet. The symptoms are diarrhea stomach pain and violently vomitting. The only reason why I am able to leave this review is because I took a nap. I was breathing through the stomach pain when I had diarrhea as if I was going through a contraction. Child birth was easier because of an epidural but whatever pain this diner caused is insanity. Someone needs to figure out who the hell is cooking back there and they do not know how to cook - or they need to clean the oil or clean the grill. WE ARE Sick!!!! Thank god for peptol . We are customers who go to all the restaurants in south Jersey.. we will never go to shore diner in a life time. We have dined in restaurants like il Mulino, cafe 2825, knife and fork but we decided to give āthis hidden gem ā a try but this place is š«¢š¤¢š¤¢š¤¢š¤¢š¤® NOT OK, If u were to have this pain you would want the restaurant shut down. Guess thatās why we should stick to fine dining. YOU GET WHAT U PAY FOR (Al though our bill here was $76 for a filet that didnāt come out by itself grilled. It was medallions of the filet drowned in the sauce...

Dined last weekend with my family visiting from VA. Waiter seemed annoyed to be in customer service, before we ever even received our drinks. Believed it was an "one off", but it continued during our visit.
A member of my party found a piece of black plastic in her milkshake. Waiter seemed annoyed and indifferent, even though she nearly choked on the piece, believing it was a oreo cookie bit. When brought to waiter's attention, he stated they do not know where it came from and was accusatory -- the manager never came over to check on us.
Order was wrong in several ways. Instead of bringing out appropriate food, waiter tried to grab food off of a plate with just a fork - no hand sanitizer, no gloves were used, the plate was not taken back - just tried to grab food of the table. Appalled by the lack of professionalism and decorum, she just kept the wrong order.
Incorrect side was received, asked for me to just keep it for someone else, and I will just pay for it as a side. Waiter just took it back in the kitchen, as if it was going to be served to someone else.
Asked for dessert menu and it was never received. Only stayed because the two children were hungry and tired after swimming all morning.
Despite our concerns regarding the service, manager never made an appearance.
Young man at the register, while checking out, was very courteous and should be a waiter instead of the older gentleman serving us.
For mediocre diner food, and even worst service, it is not...
