Fast food has always been a Cutthroat industry in which companies aggressively compete for the dominant market share. Historically McDonald's has always been the leader. In 2017 McDonald's generated over 200 billion dollars in Revenue worldwide. In my opinion this statistic is highly inaccurate for the simple fact that McDonald's is hardly fast food anymore. If there were such a thing as a slow food industry, McDonald's would be the king leaving all other competitors in the dust. What happened McDonald's? It has always been my favorite until recently. I can say With all sincerity and honesty that every McDonald's location I have eaten at( which is quite a few) the quality of service and the speediness of preparation has been abominable. In fact it has been atrocious. The one glaring exception has been the McDonald's location cited in this review. The management and crew members of this location have the company values instilled in them based on a company mission statement from a time long-forgotten. Fast friendly service, Speedy food preparation and delivery, happy demeanor, and most importantly to this diner, fresh and hot food that isn't haphazardly thrown together. In fact it closely resembled the items I saw in the menu pictures. lettuce( that are the size of an iceberg) instead of the beautiful green leaf lettuce shameless used to deceive us gullible and hungry consumers. I digress. This McDonald's location seems to be well-managed and employs teenagers and adults(seniors too!) that are properly trained. No one with a "I'm too good to be working here so I don't really give a s**t " attitude. This kind of work ethic is becoming epidemic for a large percentage of fast food restaurants I have been to in California and beyond. I recommend this McD's location if you got that craving for their hard to beat fries or just for a fast food place that actually has food that comes out fast. Not to mention delivered by someone who is distant and miserable. The one lowlight of this Mickey D's was the men's restroom....YIKES! Definitely could have used a little tidying up. Ok....a lot of tidying up. Easily remedied. It wouldn't keep me...
Read moreMy experience at this McDonald's was less than exemplary service. When I placed my order The cashier was very short with me and rushing me. And after everything I ordered She was saying is that all is that all? In which I was forced to say no one second after everything I ordered. When I was done ordering she said ok total at the 1st window. I said I would like my total now. And she told it to me $35.46. I get to the 1st window and now employee was there. So I wait to get to the "second" window to pay. The cashier tells me my total and takes my card and returns it to me. Then hands me my two carmel fraps that are already melting. Then my food. Which I always look at prior to just driving off. And noticed one of my breakfast items had just a broke off piece of bacon and the rest of it all thrown together. I said excuse me this is not exceptable. I just paid $8.00+ for this and look how unappealing it looks. I understand fast food, but fast doesnt mean cut corners and be sloppy. This is something someone will be eating and wanted from here. I don't appreciate this. And asked for another. They give me a bit more bacon yet it looked so scronny! They said they didn't just add to my meal they gave me a new one and had an attitude about it. I said I just spent over 35 dollor here and your service has been less then exceptional. The Manager allows her employees to chime in while I asked to speak with her and failed to ask them to step back and let her handle the situation. The manager over talked me, yelled at me and remained unprofessional in her manerizums to me by becoming affended by me asking about the food. She is not in control of her self nor her staff and they are doing less then customer service. When I drove off I let them know I wasn't happy and the manager yelled out the window don't come here then! I am livid. And they didn't give me my...
Read moreSo this morning I had placed a simple order of three hash browns and three breakfast sandwiches, mind you there was no line and it wasn’t the usual breakfast busy rush it was, nonetheless the minute I pulled forward before their idiotic drive-thru timer can even begin to countdown I am then asked to park. Okay, I go park and it doesn’t take them less than five minutes to bring my order out. Given how quickly my order was brought to me, slightly tired because I, expected that these employees (especially as someone that use to work at McDonald’s before) would be competent to get this order right. I get home, wouldn’t you know it they forgot one sandwich. I have to drive all the way back when I just wanted to be at home instead of wasting my gas and on the road with other a*shole drivers. I get there, the manager working not even so much as offering an apology, just very dismissive and gives me a card. Doesn’t offer to make the now soggy hash browns fresh, just gives me a little card and brushes me off.
In terms of corporate expectations, this employee did exactly that. Was it void of emotion, mindful compassion or any consideration? Yes, that is far from the employees fault and everything to do with corporate and management, so you need to do better for everyone including the people who work hard everyday and other hardworking individuals who pay good money for this. The bar for McDonald’s is set pretty...
