Went tonight for my mothers bday, we chose texas road house becuase my husband and family has been dying to try the prime rib . After an hour of waiting for our food , and all the others meals in our party are getting their meals , they had no more prime rib , mind you the people who ordered after us were sitting across from us ordered a prime rib and got theres before us . Poor customer service and the other prime rib ordered in our party were nasty . They looked brown , no juicy red med all brown . AND ON TOP OF THAT , I clearly told them pls make sure there is no sour cream on my hubs loaded mashed potatoes, everytime we ask for no sour cream , they still put sour cream . And guess what they still did it any ways . Of course the waitress did not check and the food prep ignored it too . The only amazing customer service recieved was the children's table waitress. She was kind , and professional . Her hair was tied up in a nice neat bun (i think when serving food , hair should not be everywhere) and of course she attended to the childrens table very well . Very much appreciated ! When the manager came by he was like too bad , and I explained like I know there is nothing we can do , theres no more prime rib I understand, but why Did it take an hour for them to find out ? At least we could have ordered something else without being rushed . But of course I was dismissed , and the "priority" was to get my hubs his meal but they still made it seem like oh well . We are hard working people and hardly get to get together often. we would have liked to enjoy our meal. I keep giving this place a shot but now I know for sure not to come back . I know my review and me not going back is NOT a big deal for them . Im sure they loose good customers all the time , but it sucks knowing I can't go get a steak and prime rib near by . I have to drive all they way to who knows where just to get a steak and prime rib becuase this place has let me down 1...
Read moreMy husband and I frequently visit this location but after what happened, never going here again. On 12/07/22 We went to Texas roadhouse around 4:00 pm in hopes for a nice evening. It turned to a terrible night, as our receipts didn't match the pricing on the menus. It wasn't a big deal, but we informed our waitress about it, she took the receipt and she went to adjust the receipt to match the pricing of the menu. She came back with a $99 check and we wondered why it went up (the original was $92). She ended up getting the manager. Moe came out and at first he was handling the situation well but brought over another increased check for $102 which was $10 more than the original! Moe changed when we had asked to see the original check that they had given us so we can compare prices. He started saying the check for $92 never existed (even though we clearly saw it). He kept stating it's impossible to have a $92 check with what we ordered. Me and my husband knew that already, we just wanted to see what went wrong on the original. Moe started becoming more aggressive saying only a $102 bill existed. He brought out a NEW check and said we have to pay the bill which was $98 or he will "call the cops" as he dialed 911 and showed us on his phone. It's not about the $6 difference, it's about the fact that he tried to make us believe our original check didn't exist. We actually found the check he said "never existed" on the way out passing the workers trash can and he even circled things on it (see the photo). He's a young manager and he needs training on how to handle customers better. Arguing and threatening customers with calling the cops is not the way to handle a situation all because we had asked to see our original check. UPDATE: Owner responded and said they would follow up with me in a few days but I haven’t heard from them since I sent in...
Read moreMilla the hostess who seated us was very welcoming, friendly and outgoing. Did her job well. Silverware wrapped in cloth napkins was placed on the table for each of our party of 5 immediatly. 2 baskets of delicious fresh baked hot rolls with cinnamon butter were put on our table immediately. We all had to restrain ourselves from filling up on them. LOL 2 prime ribs (1 smothered in mushrooms) perfectly cooked at medium rare with au jus on the side with mashed potatoes (1 with gravy, 1 with butter) (1 with green beans which had bacon bits the other with buttered cut corn. Both vegetables were hot and very tasty. 1 11oz Hand-Cut Sirloin steak perfectly cooked medium rare with Mac and Cheese. Can't remember the other side but my daughter-in-law ate every bite. I had the 8oz thick-cut New York Strip Steak medium rare with baked potato butter only and buttered corn. (See photo) All our food was hot and cooked perfectly when it was served. There was so much buttered corn in the little bowls my husband and I couldn't come near finishing it! When my son finished his prime rib dinner he commented that he never received the creamy horseradish he requested but the meat and meal were so good he really didn't miss it. We were all pleasantly full when the check came and a little surprised the entire meal didn't cost more. Our entire party was happy with their food and the great service. We look forward to coming back. I'm already planning my next order. LOL. Highly recommend Texas Roadhouse El Cajon for a GREAT meal & GREAT service. We were there Super Bowl 58 Sunday. It was a bit noisy and no music played but totally understandable and not a problem for us. We did not order any alcoholic beverages so I can say nothing about them except that they were offered. As we left Milla thanked us for coming in and said...
