Panda Express — Restaurant in El Cajon

I came in a few minutes ago. I was the only one in line, initially, I waited a few minutes but it was whatever. They had messed up the people’s order who just paid and were fixing it. The lady takes my order, and I move down the line because I wasn’t getting anything else. I waited for a few more minutes while she helped the gentlemen behind me. Then she comes over and begins ringing up both our orders together. I let her know that we weren’t together. I paid. And continued to wait. I was starting to get a bit annoyed, and then she brings food over and hands 2 plates to the man. He looks confused and tells her he didn’t order two meals. She looks back over at me and I had to tell her AGAIN that I wasn’t with him. She had two of those little side containers (one was my kung poa chicken) she didn’t know which was which and instead of her washing her hands because she was just on the register she opens my side container to confirm it was mine. That annoyed me even more because I’m sorry but that was disgusting. Then, I’m about to let it go and chalk it up to a bad experience and move on only to get home and see SHE DIDNT CLOSE THE SIDE CONTAINER. Food all inside the bag this was by far the more horrible experience at a food place I’ve ever had…makes it even worse to find mushrooms in my food when I didn’t order a meal...

This location on Broadway/Graves in El Cajon is our favorite Panda Express. Parkway Plaza location is excellent, also, but we don't go to the Mall very often. This location is very handy for us to get to, and their food is so good. We like the Teriaki chicken. Theirs is juicy and tender without too much blackening or charring. Their Shrimp and Steak dishes are good, also, but we try to not eat sweet or gravy like sauces. We get our chicken with no sauce, also. The flavor is great without it! Their servers are always happy, attentive, genuinely nice, and helpful. You can sample any item in case you'd like to try something new. Always the best for Chinese, and I mean ALL Chinese food restaurants, even the super expensive, black tie-type places, this lil fast food place blows em all away with how good every single thing on their menu is!! I might find a place here n there that'll have better...say...General Tso's than theirs, but as a whole, no other Chinese food I've found (and trust me, I've looked...extensively) even comes close!! Oh and don't get me started on the chow-mein! Sooooo perfect!!! One exception: for that and all their entrees as well - WAY TOO MUCH veggies mixed in! I would pay double of they'd offer their chow-mein with just the noodles, no cabbage or celery. I just pick em out, but I wanna eat it one day immediately w/o having to...
