So after the long anticipated wait, me and a coworker placed an order online. 2 TACOS, that’s all. It said the order would be ready at 2:50 pm. Showed up at 3:05 even gave them an extra 15 mins. When I was told from an employee to “ come back in one hour, we are very busy “ so after we placed an order for a simple two chicken tacos. And waiting 25 mins before showing up. They had the nerve to tell us come back in an hour. FOR TWO TACOS, we drove 15 mins from El centro our lunch break from work. So our entire lunch break was wasting with gas money. I completely understand a new restaurant opening and having some hiccups, but to tell us to come back in an hour for two tacos is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable in any business. They could’ve asked us to wait five or 10 minutes and hurry up and made the simple two tacos but instead they had the nerve to tell us to come back in one hour like it’s our inconvenience to drive there waste our gas money. Glad I gave it a try once and glad I’ll never be...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to try a Chipolte Restaurant, we’ll El Centro finally has one. I pulled up to the drive thru but it turned out to be a digital pickup window only. I spent the next 10 minutes in the parking lot trying to get the app work for a digital order. I finally was able to submit my order. Had had to wait 10 minutes before the order was going to be ready. I pulled back into the digital pickup lane and the friendly girl at the window found my order. It was missing the watermelon/lime drink that I was craving. She gave me a 22 Oz at no charge. The drink was bitter and different, but I can’t wait to have another one. I ordered a chicken salad with every add on I could get. I took the food home. The food was delicious, it was fresh, I was very surprised. It was a lot of food. I’ll have some for dinner and maybe lunch tomorrow. I recommend this place, I’ll be coming back to try some of the other menu items. May never get use to the digital drive thru, that’s the reason for only...
Read moreIt took over 30-minutes to get through a line at this location when other locations I’ve been to with similar or longer lines can get you in/out in 10-minutes. The people on the line were super slow, didn’t know how to accommodate simple requests like “tortilla on the side” or “fajita veggies AND __ meat”. I know they just opened, but I figured training would have gone over their standard menu items and common modifications.
The most annoying part was just trying to get your order made. Usually, each person on the line handles 1-2 tasks at a time, they execute that part of your order then pass you off. But at this location, it was as if each person was micromanaging the person next to them instead of focusing on their portion of things. The entire ordering process was painstaking and cumbersome.
They need to do a lot of improving before it gets to the level of service other Chipotle...
