Jack in the Box — Restaurant in El Centro

Went through the drive-through my sister asked for a sweet iced coffee and that's because they could please put for as a fake sugars in the coffee before they put the lid on the girl said no and then she said yes and then she didn't do it and she didn't put anything in the bag for my sister to do it directions they need to find a different job, maybe like dumping the trash cans. Then my sister wants to go use the restroom there and they had the doors locked because they didn't have enough employee so they locked the door so my sister will never she stood there and the girl that was inside working saw her standing there and just waved her hand like hold on a minute put a finger up like wait and she never came back and she went into the restroom and she still never came back and I was in the Drive-Thru line at that time because we were in separate cars and then she was telling me about it and I was like wait a minute so I told the young man at the drive-thru, that my sister's been waiting outside to use the restroom she got caught in the storm and she needs to go to the bathroom all the way back. He said he would take care of it, well he didn't so she stood there and waited and I was still in line and I was still actress microphone speaker to do my order and I said please let my sister in she's still out there. So by the time I got up to the window I said that she still out there until he stopped what he was doing and let her in and the girl before she was coming out of the bathroom so she been in the bathroom that whole time. That is scandalous and rude and just needs...

The lady at the drive thru... bless her heart.... was working so hard top get everyone through in a timely manner. However, that was her down fall. She was finishing my orders for me and not LISTENING to my special requests. It made for a frustrating exchange.

Either lay off the puppy uppers or take a doggy downer

The food was done correctly and the kids enjoyed their meals. I just had to work for the end result a tiny bit more than I should have.

8/30/18....... Roughly 2-3 weeks after the first entry. I just went from 3 stars to 1 star after tonight's debacle.

Apparently, pushy sales is a standard here. I kept getting asked if I was ready to order while the car load was trying to decide what to get.

When I was ready to order...I once again got cut off in the middle of the order for various reasons. I requested 2 plain burgers, "just the meat and the bun..."

The reply was "one burger? "

"NO, two plain burgers, just the meat and the bun..."

We get to the window and pay. I receive the burgers and quickly look at the product..... cheese was added. I told the lady, "I ordered plain and these have cheese..."

YOU READY FOR THIS?

"That's how we serve those burgers; no lettuce, onions, ketchup... but we leave the cheese..."

I recommend you stay away from this establishment unless you want to be interrupted, told what you want and lied straight face too in why your order is wrong.

This is the Jack in the Box on 4th Street, El Centro, CA, next to Interstate 8.

Terrible people skills and...

The food is typical Jack in the Box, it's a good quick meal. However, this specific store has really bad service if you're ordering at night. Within the past few times I've gone this month, the night staff were unfriendly, rude, and unhelpful. On my last visit, the cashier tried telling me the fryers weren't working, but when I told her I placed a mobile order that had fried food, the fryers were magically working again. On the same visit I also asked for hot sauce and the cashier insisted that she placed some in the bag, but when I parked to check my order, there wasn't any sauces in the bag and I had to go all the way through the line just to get some. If you're trying to get food at night, just don't come here.

Update: The district manager reached out to me and offered me a few meal coupons as an apology for the service, which I thought was a kind gesture, so I bumped my review up a star. I'm still a bit skeptical about the fryers being down right after my order was apparently made, cause the timing just seemed way too convenient, but I can't know for sure and I don't want to dwell on it. It doesn't invalidate the bad service I've had during late hours recently, but hopefully...
