Johnny's Burritos of El Centro — Restaurant in El Centro

Although the reviews are very pleasant I would have to say my experience was quite the opposite. My family and I all got burritos; a Chile verde burrito, a carne asada burrito, and a basic bean and cheese burrito with the addition of rice. For starters upon walking in the employees seemed very ‘dead’ my family and I received a lot of blank stares and even some glares. It’s understandable, people have bad days which causes glum moods but everyone is trained to hide certain facial expressions in their workplace so that was already a turn off for the restaurant. Going in with what we ordered the Chile verde and salsa we received were extremely salty, the Chile verde was red which was concerning considering verde means green. Moving on to the salsa it was quite disappointing and even off putting that it was runny and even smelled like tap/ faucet water. And with the last burrito the bean and cheese with rice, the ratio of all three elements were off. It felt like I was drowning in beans, there was hardly any cheese and just the smallest amount of rice ever. Concluding my experience I would say the pricing to the sizes of burritos were irrationally high. For this being my first experience with this restaurant I would never come back or ever recommend this...

Oh. Oh my. It's sooooo good. I see why they are so loved in the Imperial Valley area.

#1. Say YES to the Chicken 🌮 Taco. My Top Pick for chicken tacos. VERY Tender (so tender you don't need teeth, or teef, as Granny says) juicy chicken chunks, very nice portion, with the usual toppings. I got mine on the corn tortilla, but you can get flour as well. Whomever ever made this batch of chicken, marry me you poultry genius. LOL

#2. Rolled Shedded Beef Taco Combo, comes with a medium drink, rice, beans, lettuce, cheese.- very flavor packed, no heat plate. Definitely add hot sauce if you want a kick. They have two versions of red hot sauce to choose from. I'm in love with the beans and rice! Excellent mix of flavors and textures. Top 5 fav. If a bean a cheese burrito is your gig, you won't go wrong here. Quality ingredients. Yummy cheese.

#3 4oz Chunky Guacamole 🥑- Very creamy, excellent flavor. I want to slather everything with it.

Nice, clean, large restaurant in the Goodwill shopping center. Tons of parking. Kind, well spoken, efficient staff and some bomb proof...

I had a bad experience here today. I ordered a pizza pocket since i thought it would be a quick snack. And they gave me my order pretty quickly so i went to my car to try and eat . Well 2 bites in i realized how cold my food was. I felt kind of grossed out because i do not like cold pizza so i went back in and i told the girl named vannessa if they could rewarm my pizza pocket. She then grabbed my pizza pocket and threw it away in the trash and they made me another one . Then she told me to next time when i have a problem to not eat more than one bite , because she could tell more than one bite was missing . I could not believe this girls nerve. I mean for one they gave me my food cold then to disrespect me like that is unacceptable . She told me that with an attitude like i was trying to get free food when all i wanted was my food that i payed for done right. With mediocre service like this i will not be returning to this johnys . The johnys in imperial has much better service and ive never gotten...
