I went there a few months ago when my job took me to El Monte.
There is a plethora of Mexican joints in this area in general and I finally settled on this one.
They offer a wide variety of dishes and what I ended up getting was the mole because I rarely ever get to have it these days.
It was so-so, nothing spectacular, but what really made the meal, and it made a big difference, was the home made tortillas.
You can tell right away when they've been made there rather than by some machine. They look different, they smell differently and most importantly, they taste great.
Mass produced tortillas have a slightly sour scent to them, they are thinner and they have conveyor belt marks on them.

Read moreTerrible service I walked in with my mom, the man looked us up and down, began to play with his lighter didn't even want to take our order, kept telling us the prices before explaining the food, and then after we had ordered two tacos, one per person expecting a plate each, gave us one plate, and after we had asked nicely for a small plate, he grabs the plate and tosses it back to the table. We then began to explain to him that he was treating us terribly, and he goes "be thankful I even let you come in here" I have never in my life left a review but I'm going our of my way because of how terrible the treatment was.
