Dewey's Corner Pub — Restaurant in El Paso

I love neighborhood bars and have had great service at Dewey’s in the past —even offered the option to order food from the Wing Factory. We went last week when DJ was playing—-pretty empty but he was playing great music —- he was a badass! The female bartender (with glasses) was eh — got a simple drink wrong. … We noticed people coming in and immediately leaving. The other female bartender was too busy doing shots. Someone spilled a drink on the bar — big mess and bartender ignored the fact that a dude got his shirt sleeve wet 🤮 Bar back dude was standing by register —- staring into the abyss —- crazy — even he wouldn’t help clean…he literally just stood there staring.

We truly like this place but man please look into some of your bartenders… I get they want to be cute but if it’s eating in to your profits …and your bar is empty —-maybe it’s time to make...

Amazingly awesome place with $2 domestics during the weekday. Great alternative to its next door neighbor Coconuts which is also a good. Notice to night shift patrons: opens at 7am and closes at 2am :) However, the whole strip on the weekends falls to Lord of Flies, which riddles me how because it is literally across the street from the headquarters of El Paso's finest. Also, I am not crazy about the DJ that usually spins since he hops up and down on top of the stage and nearby equipment like an unentertaining monkey. Nice atmosphere but the bartender on duty this past Thursday night was worried more about her socializing and her doing shots with the 2 different groups at the bar. She served my compainon 1 beer and that was it for the 1 hour or so that we were there. Being a former bar owner and manager she wouldve been sent walking. The bar wasnt even crowded. When my compainion approached her to close out the ticket, he told her "you forgot about me!" She responded with, "oh well." A pretty face doesnt make your bar business, great service does.
