My husband's favorite place for over 20 years when he worked in El Paso. Now that he retired, he introduced me to Ernie's Cafe and we travel all the way from Las Cruces to get his craving out of the way (once a week with me or a friend), and I now can't wait to go. Today, I had the green chicken enchilada plate that came with a "small" (that wasn't so small!) bowl of Calde de Res and good coffee and my husband had his favorite Mexican combination plate. It was very good, I especially liked the has brows, they were nice and crunchy. My fiancee had a small menudo and she finished it. However we both agreed it was lacking something in the flavor.
