Firehouse Subs The Fountains — Restaurant in El Paso

I originally called to have food delivered to my hotel room (less than two miles from Firehouse subs). The gentleman who answered the phone explained that they only do delivery through an app (grub hub or Uber eats). He then went absolutely above the call of duty when he helped me with the applications.

I wasn't able to figure it out, so I just drove over to the restaurant. It's very clean and has firefighter memorabilia decorating the entrance. The menu is big, easy to read. Lots of things sounded really good.

I decided to go with the "steak and cheese" which is essentially a Philly cheese steak.

The same guy who spoke to me over the phone also made my sandwiches. He was super friendly. My sandwich was definitely large and was very good

Missing one star because the lady who took my order got it wrong, even though I corrected her three times. I asked for "no condiments" and my sandwich came with only meat-----no cheese, peppers, or onions. How hard is it to omit only the condiments!?

Regardless of it being a plain meat sandwich, it was still really delicious.

Unfortunately, Firehouse Subs is one of those establishments that you can NOT visit after a certain hour. Arriving just after 6:30pm, some sandwiches become unavailable, but that’s okay, any sandwich here is a good sandwich. With my meal, I was offered the side pickle and given my drink with a bag of chips. The Coca-Cola freestyle machine was out of everything! Certain brands were blacked out, and the ones supposedly “available” only dispensed club soda with coloring, and the employees kept selling meals without warning customers that they had no drinks other than crusty syrup water. When I received my meal, fortunately the sandwich was good, but the side pickle I paid for was a sliver so thin you could tell they split a regular side pickle into two, they could have just said they were out of pickles. And the environment was bad the music they had blasting was horrible, they had a bunch of teenagers on aux, and all the tables were dirty along with everything in the restaurant including the soda dispenser caked with stains. I Have Been patronizing you guys from the Very beginning. I do Have Some Major Concerns In Regards On How You Manage Your Institution. One , Management Treats Their Customers Like Trash. Calling Law Enforcement Upon them making False Sexual Harassment Accusations. They Failed to honor Customer Satisfaction and reimburse them for their previous order. 2, Security Being in the Back of the restaurant (Where The Food is being produced) They have no business being in back of the establishment without A Hairnet let alone A food handlers card.The Fact that the “Assistant Manager David” has the audacity to Raise His Voice At Me , And specifically say “THAT’S NON OF YOUR BUSINESS!!!” The Fact that I’m A Paying Customer , and I dine in 3-4 days out of the week Makes it My Business and Most importantly my concern!
