Could be good, but lack of attention to details of food prep left me longing for flavorful food. Overall a tease... or maybe the name is suiting as I craved everything I had, only prepared better.
A few examples:
side kale apple salad: no apple at all. Not tossed in dressing, just a glob of dressing on top. Kale not torn or chopped into smaller pieces. Literally whole pieces of curly kale- made for difficult eating and what could have been great with just a tiny bit of attention, was less than good.
side of roasted mushrooms.... half the mushrooms in the bowl were not roasted or even cooked all the way through and they were not seasoned at all. Towards the bottom of the bowl I found a few pieces that were cooked all the way through and there was some kind of brown sauce which I think was probably supposed to be on all of it, but just ended up in the bottom of the bowl… There was a very strong flavor of raw garlic that burned my mouth a bit and left my with distinctive raw garlic breath- Definitely not cooked correctly. Again, easy simple side that with some care would have been good, but ended up bad.
-ahi tostadas were okay. The fish tasted good. There was nothing wrong with it, it was just a bit bland over all, some acid or some kind of condiment or sauce would have made it sing- that may not be an execution error, but not a great recipe for my tastes.
Service at the bar was ok. Much better than there other location where the bartender with glitter hot pink stripper makeup expected me to yell my order out across the bar while she stood with her back towards me. This bartender actually looked at me and politely took my order. So, there’s that. But I did find it odd that they wanted me to order off the brunch menu at 5:54pm.
Maybe I’ll try it again in the future- maybe not....
Read moreToday was just…terrible. Came in at 8:30am for my husband’s birthday and we were the only people in there. We were sat at a table right away, but waited 20 minutes just for someone to acknowledge us. All of the waitresses were huddled at the corner of the bar chatting. One girl had her makeup sprawled out on the bar, with a mirror, and was doing her makeup. It took 20 minutes for them to realize we were staring and waiting. The waitresses rushed to the back room and a man finally came over and apologized that “our waitress was in the bathroom so he’d be happy to take our drink orders” (she was just doing her makeup at the bar for 20 minutes). He brought us water and coffee and the coffee was cold, he didn’t take our orders…but we didn’t have a chance to say anything because it took another 15 minutes for our waitress to finally show up. No apology. We waited another 30 minutes for our food and noticed 3 other tables were also frustrated that they were being ignored and no one took their drink orders yet. 9:30am, finally got our food, and my burrito was falling apart and not wrapped up. It was all chorizo and extremely salty. My potatoes were cold and hard and my husband’s food was also cold. Once again, had no chance to let our waitress know because she never checked on us until we were clearly done and ready for our check. Expressed to her that I was disappointed in the food (I took two bites) and all I got was “sorry” and the check. No remedies, nothing. Crave needs to seriously train their employees better. Makeup should not be on a counter where people eat, waitresses should not be ignoring customers, and they should definitely be checking in. Especially when there were only 3-4 other tables by the...
Read moreMy family and I were excited to try the Crave location at the Fountains at Farrah since we regularly dine at the Cincinnati location and always have a great experience. Unfortunately, this visit did not meet our expectations.
We requested patio seating because we had our husky with us. There were several shaded tables available that simply needed to be cleaned, but the hostess chose to seat us at a table in full sun—despite the heat—and that table also had to be cleaned before we could sit down. That alone made us question why we weren’t offered a more comfortable, shaded option.
After sitting for over 20 minutes without being acknowledged, we were starting to feel pretty frustrated—especially since all the waitstaff seemed to ignore us. Thankfully, Marissa noticed us, saw that our dog was overheating, and immediately offered to move us to a shaded table with no hesitation. From that point on, she gave us the best service possible. She was kind, attentive, and even brought iced water for our dog. Marissa truly saved the experience and deserves recognition for her excellent service.
We ordered cucumber mint water, but it had a strange onion-like aftertaste. The food took quite a while to come out, and while the portions were huge, the quality just didn’t match the price. Overall, the food was disappointing and not something we’d come back for.
Sadly, we won’t be returning to this location—but we do want to give a big thank you to Marissa for doing everything she could to turn our experience around. She was the highlight...
