Very disappointed. We have come to this restaurant a few times previously and our only complaint in the past was that food ALWAYS takes a substantial amount of time for what it is. This visit was disappointing and during we decided we would not be returning again. We came at 6:45 pm on Sunday and they close at 9 pm. We felt this was not too late to order and eat in. When we got there we I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and was told they had no more fried onions and so they substituted them with caramelized onion and mushrooms which was okay. My husband made his meal a combo and was hoping to have their tea or lemonade just to find both were completely out and cleaned already for the night? 2+ hours early? My husband doesn't drink soda and therefore was left with just water when we paid for a fountain drink. I ordered a milkshake to go with my food and the young lady forgot it, after being reminded it was made very quickly and tasted like watered down milky Oreos. In the past the milkshake had been very good so I am confused what went wrong there unless the machine was off and heated up? Our order took about 30 minutes for two burger combos even with no one ahead of us. The worst part of the entire experience was that when receiving my food the mushrooms and caramelized onions were cold to touch. When I say cold, I mean like fresh out of the fridge... I understand how kitchens work and am very familiar with food industry in general, but I'm confused why the onions and mushrooms were not even thrown on the grill for a second to reheat...and for our food to take 30 minutes and not even be warm is so confusing/concerning. Also, the floor and tables were pretty dirty. There was also no available silverware or plasticware. I needed the restroom but was worried to go in there.
We paid about 40 dollars for two and felt we could've gone elsewhere for much better food quality, environment, and service. As I said previously our visits led us back, but this one made us question the kitchen a bit and are weary to ever return. Also, we tried to complain about the mushrooms but my husband waited five minutes at the counter and...
Read moreI went to my local Mooyah today in the shopping center because I was running errands and decided that I was craving fries with queso. My partner orders a simple classic combo Mooyah Burger with pickles, I order a Double Diablo combo with queso for the fries. We also attempt to order a cookie, in which the cashier asks whether we want small, medium, or large which seemed awkward since there's only one size cookie, maybe the cashier was hard of hearing because he thought we were ordering a milkshake. We corrected him and got the saddest most crumbly cookie that has probably been drying up for a couple of days. We overlook that issue. Because our order was to go, it was stapled shut, we picked up our bag and left to fuel up before we headed home. We eat the cookie on the trip home, it tasted like the plastic wrapper. We're not impressed at this point. When we arrived home, we open our bag, each cardboard boat has different amounts of fries, seemed odd, we split up our burgers, I give my girlfriend the burger with one patty and I take the burger with TWO patties. Turns out we received a single patty diablo burger and a double patty cheese burger. There was no pickles in either burger. At this point, I figure that the cashier MUST have been hard of hearing and took our order wrong. (Perhaps the music in the background was too loud or the few patrons in the restaurant must have been whispering too loudly.) But the receipt has the correct details printed, so maybe whoever prepared the meal just did not bother reading our order correctly when preparing it. On top of that, the bacon on the diablo burger was soggy and undercooked, but worst of all... My QUESO was not even in the paper bag. It was the main reason I decided to go to Mooyah, so I make a call to the restaurant multiple times, and the phone does not ring, it goes straight to voicemail, each and every time I dial, and there is not enough space to leave a message. At this point, I doubt we're going to get a response, so we just eat our mistake of a meal and we cannot even finish the soggy fries or the greasy burgers. We really do regret making a trip to...
Read moreSo four yars ago when we first tried it, it was good. We have been coming since then. It was an after church thing for us and on mny occasions with large groups of friends. Today, June 11, 2023, we came, after church. We hadn't had it in a while and were excited to get Mooyah. It was my husband's favorite burger. We are so very disappointed unfortunately. I ordered my usual, the best quesonario burger, with chips and an additional side of queso. My husband got the mushrooms swiss burger also with chips. To start, my burger is the quesonario. What I got was a burger, super thin patty, mushy onions, mayo, NO QUESO. the whole reason I get it is for the queso and it had none. The chips were mostly super dark brown as if they h been fried and refried and maybe more than that. Problem is, very few of them were even crunchy or crispy. They were actually stale and you could bend them. Some were all clustered up and that retained a bunch of grease just pooled up in between. Not appetizing at all. My husband's burger came out pretty small and he said was super salty. His chips were the same as mine. The food was just very disappointing and just unsatisfactory. It's not the cheapest of places, and yet the quality of the food was just terrible.
Now the atmosphere. The entire floor was kind of slippery. I'm wearing casual flats with sneaker tread on the soles and was still finding it difficult walking without my feet slipping. It's like a greasy sort of feeling. The whole dining area smelled like the deodorant they have in the bathrooms which also kind of made it weird. It was strong. Then the incessant beeping of the machines that just would not stop. Lastly the cups re different and no lids fit the new cups. No big deal there but mention it in case it is for the person thinking of coming to this restaurant. Oh yeah, almost out of fountain drinks. Not sure what happened here. It's not just one thing or the other that was off. It was almost everything. The kids behind the counter were nice. So theres that. We used to love coming here. We knew exactly what we were going to get. Today was...
