I recently visited La Bang Bang, a dive bar pizza spot in downtown El Paso, around 5 PM on a Saturday, and I must say, my experience was far from what I had hoped for.
First off, we drove 30 minutes specifically for the pizza after seeing a TikTok video that made the food look incredible. Unfortunately, the reality did not match the influencer advertisement. Upon arrival, it was clear that the staff was overwhelmed and unprepared.
To my surprise, we were informed that there was a three-hour wait for pizza--a baffling situation for a place that specializes in pizza, especially when it wasn't that busy. Our server was rude and dismissive, contributing to the already frustrating atmosphere. To add to our disappointment, I noticed pieces of food in the sugar containers for tea, which was off-putting.
We ordered wings and pizza fries. The wings lacked the crispiness I expected and overall had no special flavor to them, they were just average and nothing special about it them. As for the pizza fries, they were served in an unreasonably small portion for what we paid. During our time there, I witnessed at least four tables leave after sitting down, likely discouraged by the long pizza wait.
Overall, La Bang Bang was a disappointing experience. I had high hopes going in but was met with poor service, wait times that are hard to comprehend for a pizza place, and lackluster food. I won't be returning in the future.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I want to start by expressing that I always prioritize supporting small businesses, as I believe they contribute significantly to our community. However, when a business specializes in something but struggles to sustain its operations, it raises concerns regarding its long-term viability.
During our visit, my party and I felt compelled to stay and order food we didn’t really want, instead of walking out like the four other tables we observed leaving the restaurant. We had multiple dining options that day and ultimately chose your restaurant, hoping for a great experience. Unfortunately, from the poor service to the three-hour wait for pizza, there was nothing enticing that made us want to return. It ended up feeling like a waste of time.
I appreciate your acknowledgment of the issues and your commitment to improvement, but I sincerely hope that these changes are implemented swiftly and effectively. Thank you for taking the time to address our concerns; I wish you the best in your efforts to enhance...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to dine at La Bang Bang Restaurant, and while my experience wasn’t exactly what I had hoped for, I believe it's worth sharing my thoughts for those considering a visit.
Let’s start with the positives: the customer service was commendable. The staff was attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Additionally, the drinks were refreshing and well-crafted, adding a nice touch to our dining experience.
Now, let’s move on to the food. I must admit that, unfortunately, it wasn’t quite to my palate. The wings, while they had an appealing presentation, were extremely salty for my taste. I found them to be a bit overwhelming, which overshadowed the other flavors that might have made them more enjoyable.
As for the deep-dish pizza, I encountered similar issues. I was excited to try this classic dish, but I found the outer crust to be on the hard side, contrasting too much with the flavors inside. Also, the sauce was placed on top of the pizza rather than baked underneath the cheese, which is a departure from the traditional preparation I was expecting. This made the texture a bit off for me, though I recognize that pizza preferences can vary greatly.
That said, just because the food wasn't my personal cup of tea doesn't mean it won’t resonate with others. Taste is inherently subjective, and La Bang Bang might be the perfect spot for someone looking for bold flavors and unique presentations. Many diners enjoy salty wings and might appreciate the unconventional approach to...
Read moreA few weeks ago, a group of 10 of us from out of state stopped by since we wanted to try the pizza. We had stopped a few nights before but the kitchen was closed so this time we stopped by on a Friday around 8 pm. We ordered 7 pizzas and a few wing platters. We were told that only 5 pizzas could be made and the owners came out to talk to us so we appreciated this! However the pizzas did take 2 hours to cook so by the time we got them, we left most of them untouched as we were no longer hungry. The worst part of my experience was with Rick, who was sexist and misogynistic. I asked for a michelada and I was surprised it was clear when I picked it up, I asked if he could put some Clamato in it. He laughed and said “you asked for a michelada that’s just lime not a chelada with red beer.” Another co worker of mine asked what I got so I explained to him the difference that Rick had mentioned, when I turn back around to the bar Rick said something along the lines of “don’t be mad girl because I schooled you” I told him I was just explaining the difference as I was surprised of this distinction as I’ve never had issues ordering micheladas throughout the US and different parts of Mexico. Another bartender came over and Rick started telling him that I was mad because I didn’t know how to order. They proceeded to laugh in my face and bad mouth me with two other girls at the bar. This interaction was absolutely unacceptable, again sexist and misogynistic. The drink was cheap, but made my stomach hurt as it was pure like juice. Do...
