El Paso Visitor Center recommended this place for their nachos. The waitress was kind, but she immediately forgot our drink order and didn’t apologize (table next to us got their drinks first and sat down after us). Then, there was a completely different waiter that took our food order, and he was very impatient with us when we were confused as to why there were two different servers. We also specifically asked for no avocado since it cost $1.50 extra, but of course the nachos came out with avocado. Since it took forever to get the food we didn’t send it back when he offered to take it back, but then the bill came through and it was $2.50 for the avocado. It was also confusing because the first waitress wanted us to pay for our drinks separately, so there were two separate bills. The male waiter then stood over us as my boyfriend and I figured out how we wanted to split our bill, and we were so flustered we didn’t even feel comfortable asking to remove the avocado from the bill (he also never offered). We honestly feel like we were taken advantage of by this man because we were tourists, and do NOT recommend to other tourists. The nachos in the end were not...
Read moreGarbage service. The bar tender really sucked at her job. We chose to sit at the bar and She ignored us for the majority of our time there. The food we ordered was mediocre, my fries were under cooked and my boyfriends burger was awful and not made the way he ordered, they gave us one napkin to share, which i thought was funny but my boyfriend did not. When we were ready for the check to leave, the bartender never came back. We seriously debated just walking out on the tab since she chose to ignore us the entire time. The other women with her behind the bar refused to help us when we asked for the check, one completely ignored me and the other told us to wait for our server and gave us smirks and whispered to the other bar tender there with her. Our bartender stayed at the far end of the bar on her phone with another person just scrolling on her phone, finally my boyfriend had to get up and go get her so we could pay for the check. Not sure if it was a race thing since he was white and everyone else there was mexican. But terrible service altogether. Its a shame since everyone around us seemed to be getting attentive service....
Read moreEnded up driving through El Paso on a Friday night, looked for a local place to have a beer and a bite. The chile relleno was really quite good. The salsa that came with the table was quite pepper hot, a bit too hot for my taste. Otherwise the food was pretty good and filling. Portion size was relatively large. They had a special with what appeared to be a Red Bull upside down in some sort of Margarita, and also an upside down Coronita in the same fashion. My friend tried both of these and they were really quite good, somewhat to my surprise. When we arrived, it was around 11:00 p.m. on a Friday night and we went to the bar and asked if there was wait service or bar service, we were told wait service, but the poor girl had to manage what seemed like all the tables and also occasionally work behind the bar so the service was really quite slow. For that there is the loss of one star. This did not seem to bother the other guests in the venue as the whole vibe seemed chill. Considering we were just passing through town and trying to get back on the road we were hoping for a little...
