UPDATE ON YESTERDAYS BAD REVIEW: I personally received a phone call from Mr Mario Diaz this morning. Mr Diaz was very concerned, sympathetic and understanding about our situation & profusely apologized for the sub-quality food we received yesterday. He offered us the opportunity to make it up to us by compensating us with free food so I asked him for 2 Menudos & he compensated us with 3 of the best tasting large Menudos! Mr Diaz is a very generous man & I highly commend him for his quick response & dedication to his customers. We really enjoyed our Menudo so much & my husband said this will be his favorite place to eat Menudo from now on.
Thank You so much Mr Diaz. We truly appreciate your empathy & professionalism. 😋🙏😊

4/21/23 I read many great reviews before deciding to order from Mi Pueblito. I even bragged about the great food & reviews before also convincing my husband. I ordered a family pack of flautas with rice & beans, to go. Unfortunately, they totally let us down. We did not receive the fantastic service or amazing food that everyone raves about. When my husband returned home with the order, the rice was totally old, dry & burned. The refried beans were just as old & dry & the guacamole was super salty. The flautas were ok but nothing to brag about. Just your normal everyday flautas. Extremely disappointed that old food is not disposed of but rather reheated & served to customers ordering for pickup & paying the same price as dine-in customers. My husband & I even ended up with a severe stomach ache and indigestion.
I’m sure you would not have served this old stale food to a customer dining in...
Read moreAfter many years of driving by this small but vibrant corner on El Paso's Eastside, near the intersection of Trawood and Montwood, I squired my beloved wife Miriam to breakfast at Mi Pueblito Cafe. We enjoy eating out at smaller, non franchise restaurants, preferably locally owned and operated, and Mi Pueblito Cafe was a very, very happy pleasure.
A menu completely representing standard American and Mexican fare, with incredibly economical prices to boot, presented us with so many delicious options that we elected to change our minds to lunch, and we each ordered the comida corrida of the day - tacos (hers with chicken, mine with ground beef), refried beans and rice, prefaced by a deceptively small bowl of caldo de res, tostadas, and salsas. Let me tell you, we thought we were stuffed with just those!
So completely enjoyable was our long-overdue visit to Mi Pueblito Cafe - the spacious inviting tables and chairs, the charming Mexican decor (enhanced by framed photos of historical El Paso), our delicious meals of course, and notably our staff, so friendly, helpful, even neighborly, as we met more than just the manager, who tended to us, but a couple of other servers who made us feel at home.
Miriam and I instantly decided this would not be our only visit to Mi Pueblito Cafe, not only because we must indulge in the other sumptuous dishes but to once again feel the bonhomie and neighborhood provided by this neighborhood treasure, undoubtedly experienced by everyone else there, whether they be regulars or, like us, also first-timers. We highly recommend Mi Pueblito Cafe and invite you all as well. Thank you, Mi...
