FriendZ Sports Bar & Kitchen — Restaurant in El Paso

This place is as low as it gets. Walked in on Friday night to a nearly empty place. No surprise. I welcomed the emptiness because I could enjoy some beers and play music on Touchtunes. Not that it hasn’t been said already but the branding is opportunistic and poorly thought out. Riding on the success of a TV show that centered around a cafe, and yet, this is a sports bar that plays Mexican hip hop music or whatever that was. Confusing. At least play 90s music.

My Guinness was initially served in a glass with a broken lip. My waitress was around the corner talking to the “bar back” the entire time. And everyone else had their head’s down on their phones.

Still, at least I wasn’t having to engage anyone and listening to music I chose on Touchtunes. Last straw was that lazy “bar back” that did nothing all night forwarded through the last 4 songs I had queued because, according to my bartender, “he just couldn’t take it anymore.” My music was a nice variety and maybe not his taste, but I paid to listen to them.

The audacity and inconsiderate attitude you have to have to do this in an EMPTY bar is crazy. Needless to say, I made whatever money they stole from me on the tip I left.

Ownership or management is completely checked out here to let things like this happen. I don’t even think bar rescue could save this place, nor do...

I don't know if we came on the wrong day, wrong shift, but after so much hype, we were extremely disappointed. I can't blame the staff. They can only do so much. We flew in from Dallas for family events, and they took us here for lunch right after our flight. Apparently you cannot order food until noon, though we were there an hour earlier. They had one poor kid in the kitchen, and though we were the first to order food, after one of their choice hamburgers the ran out of chorizo. The server brought up the food in episodes. But the time the second group got their food, the first group was done. Nevermind the last group, who didn't get what they wanted, since they ran out of ingredients, even though there was not a soul eating. I'm gonna give you guys the real tea!!! We walked in and asked the server for water and never got it. (Don't let me forget to tell you that there was only 4 other people in the bar!!!) Then another server came and was SO LOVELY 😍 AND KIND TO US!! She was ATTENTIVE, CUTE and FRIENDLY!! HER NAME WAS JASMINE AND YOU NEED HER AS A SERVER!! Jasmine had to leave (sadly 🥲) and we waited at the bar for LITERALLY an hour and a half for the first girl to get a drink. She kept walking passed us PURPOSELY ignoring us. We waited to get the managers attention however, there was no point in getting him, because he was across the bar taking shots of tequila.
