I recently visited Mirai Bowl after several years, and unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired. I ordered the salmon teriyaki and the crispy chicken teriyaki, along with a side of pot stickers. Right from the start, the food was overwhelmingly salty. The salmon portion was small, lacked flavor, and was far from satisfying. As for the pot stickers, they came straight out of a commercial style bag that looked like it had been bought wholesale and resold. What truly disturbed me, however, was witnessing the young lady behind the counter drop a pot sticker on the floor, then casually pick it up and place it back into the red and white bag, returning it to the freezer as if nothing had happened. That moment alone was enough to sour the visit, but the problems didn’t stop there. The chicken teriyaki, once a highlight of the menu, was dry, tough to chew, and missing the flavor I remembered from years ago. While it was indeed crispy, it felt overcooked and underwhelming. The only highlight, if you can call it that, was the presentation which was so erratic and abstract that even Picasso might’ve blushed. All in all, this was a return visit I won't soon forget, but sadly, for all the wrong reasons. Mirai Bowl is struggling on several fronts: food quality, cleanliness, and customer service. I sincerely hope this review serves as a wake-up call. It's time to revamp the kitchen practices, bring in trained customer service talent, and start caring about the basics, cleanliness, quality, and respect for your patrons. I say this not out of spite, but out of hope. Best of luck moving forward…

Delicious Miso soup! Fast friendly service. Caterpillar roll looked fresh and tasted Great. Salmon Teriyaki was moist and flavorful. Monchy cake was gewy, sweet filling, heavy gummy outer texture. Ramune Grape Japanese style soda; after you push the marble soda goodness. The #2 Crispy Chicken Teriyaki was to dry for me. It's a combo of livers, gizzard, with little sauce or flavoring served with your choice of rice. The #1 Chicken Teriyaki was more white meat with Teriyaki sauce glazing the chicken with steam rice.. As for the Spring rolls they are not pictured they were greasy with cabbage and carrot mush inside.

My daughter and I had a late lunch after her doctor appointment, there wasn't a ton of people so we liked the quietness. We had Ramen Beef, Udon Beef, Edamame, Fountain Drinks, & Spring Rolls. Udon is missing boiled\ cooked egg yolk & kamaboko fish cake, Ramen missing boiled\ cooked egg, other than that it's alright and tasty. I'd give it a B- \ 83% grade . 🤷🏽‍♀️ Would I come back? ,,.. I honestly don't know.

This place rocked a few years ago, we would invite a couple of friends from UTEP and we would all go there and eat. Food was cheap and filling, specially for the students.

This last year I saw how their quality dropped to rock-bottom levels. They removed the student specials, marked up everything on the menu, added at least 10 sushi choices that nobody orders, employees complain all the time, etc. Last time I was there for lunch I saw no more than 2 other customers in the span of an hour.

These things should be a BIG RED FLAG for the owner and the customers, being so close to the university and not seeing people inside during lunch time just spells AVOID for...

Had the #1 Combo on 11/20/2018, the food was simply the best taste I had ever experienced in a Japanese restaurant here in El Paso. The portion of the plate is simply above average and the taste of the food was fresh and very delicious. Maria is the manager and is very attentive and professional. She is prompt and makes sure that you are taken care of. I defenitely recommend this express restaurant and for the price, you can't simply get anywhere else. Mirai Bowl is convenient to students, professionals, and simple hard working people in the Cincinatti area, next to GNC. Go ahead and stop by and try the combos that are offered, and see for yourselves what...
