I was very disappointed with the service my family and I received today at this location... My aunt reserved the back room for my cousins graduation party on Monday. When we showed up today (party of 35) the AC was not working so they opened all the windows and had two small portable AC units that did not make a difference. Turns out the AC had not been working for over a week, but they failed to mention this at the time the reservation was made. It was a big party so I expected the food to take a while. What I did not expect was the service to be so poor. An hour passed and the two waitresses had come by to take our orders, but failed to recognize that pretty much the whole room needed water as it was a hot day plus all the bodies in the room. Once I realized that the poor waitresses were overwhelmed with the food order, I went to the pitcher to pour myself some water only to find it empty. I went to find one of the waitresses to ask if we could get the pitcher refilled, but as soon as I said "Excuse me" she replied "I just need a minute" without even looking at me. She was still entering our food orders. I saw two waitresses standing by the bar so I asked if the could please bring us some water, so they sent one person to go refill our drinks with ONE pitcher for a room of THIRTY FIVE. I proceeded to find the manager to ask if we could get more pitchers and she told me that she already had two servers over there and they would have to come refill the pitchers anyway. I then asked if we could get more pitchers in the room so we could refill the water ourselves, but for some reason she could not comprehend this concept as she replied "I don't understand what you want me to do. Do you want me to put 5 waiters in there?" to which I should have said "Yes, if that's what it takes." but instead asked if we could please just get multiple pitchers. I wish I would have gotten her name, but when I went to look for her later on she was no where to be seen. She did not even come to check on us or apologize for the AC/water situation. The waitresses did end up refilling our drinks and a third one helped with this as well, but 30 min later we were in the same situation. I got up, grabbed the pitcher and proceeded to serve myself and my family water then again before we left. One would expect a manager or someone in a leadership position to lead by example and help out when the team is struggling, but I'm pretty sure this manager was avoiding us by hiding in the kitchen as we did not see her the rest of the night. The worst part was they automatically added 20% gratuity to every single bill. The food was good, but I will more than likely never eat here again. Dine at your own risk, maybe take...
Read moreWent to eat there on July 10 around 2:15 pm Waitress seamed a bit overwhelmed as it seemed she was tending to several tables. It began with when we ordered but no biggie was just trying to see if we can substitute the lunch house salad with the ceaser salad but she had said no so fine thats was okay understandable its a lunch menu cant change it, cool. I ordered the sweet and sour soup and my husband ordered the house salad. When the waitress came back she came back with two house salads and I said sorry but I had ordered the sweet and sour soup. She said oh retrieved it from the table and took about some time to bring out the soup due to her serving another order to another table. She brought the soup and it was good, as I was eating the soup i felt something lodge into the back base of my tongue/throat to where i felt i was choking. I had to lodge my finger and scratch several times to get it out because it was stuck and would not come out. When i finally got it out, it was a piece of white hard plastic. I called the waitress and she took the soup and returned and said Im sorrry for this incident but can we offer you a free desert for the inconvenience and then another gentleman came to the table and said we are sorry for this incident but can we offer you a free desert or a 15 dollar discount. My husband asked what was the piece of white plastic and the waitress said it was part of the tofu packaging. So I told them I did not want any desert, as I was in pain for scratching the peeps out of my tongue and throat. So the gentleman said we can offer you a complimentary meal. At that point I was upset they didnt ask if I was okay or nothing. They did apologize for the incident but I did get upset to the fact that they didnt ask not ask if I was okay or anything else. I will not be going back to that location and it really sucks because we hardly eat out but this is my husband and I’s restaurant and location when we do go out to eat. I was in pain until the next morning with my throat and tongue throbbing of how hard i had to scratch to pull out that...
Read moreI used to love this restaurant until last night (New year's eve). We tried to make reservations but they were not taking any, however they said they had a waiting list with an estimated 45 minutes wait. We signed in. We arrived, and sure enough there were people waiting. After checking in, we went to the bar where we ordered drinks and appetizers. After 1 hour I went to check our status and was told there were 2 parties ahead of us. No problem, we waited another 30 minutes and upon checking (because we observed there were parties that arrived after and had already been given a table), this time they told me there were 9 parties ahead of us.... the girls at the front also looked like the cat that just ate the canary... so I demanded to talk to the manager. She acted surprised and after a few minutes sat us at a table in what appeared to be a party room without the amenities. By this I mean the room was basically a roof, 4 walls and windows. No decor, no nice table, no nice chairs...plain make do room.... cold on top of that. The bartender was doubling as a server, and was really trying to do her best. Our food took forever and a Sunday to get ready, arrived barely lukewarm, and did not taste as good as usual. Yes, I visit this place frequently, thus why I took my party here for a good new year's eve dining experience.... but not this kind of experience. Two members of my party sent their orders back, and did not eat the replacements. I feel I deserve a refund...which I did not ask for then because I did not want to make a scene in front of my party. This was definitely a bad experience. From being bumped by the front staff to watery drink to cheap old accommodations to bad and cold food. I think upper management needs to look into the kind of service they are providing. I would be glad to provide the descriptions of the staff (one in particular) that I believe needs realignment to comply with corporate vision and value. I do evaluate restaurants professionally and this visit was certainly deserving of a 0 stars. And I still...
