FOOD: I'm all about salsa bars. Check out my video for a peak of Tacos Don Cuco's SALSA BAR. No one is dancing around it, but the flavors of the salsa will make you want to dance in your seat. The food is good. I got jypt on my Tacos this last time. The first time I went they were fuller. The west side location serves fuller Tacos too. A second visit is due to compare photos and salsa videos. OH.MY.GOODNESS! Where they did not fall short on is their agua de Melón. There is an advisory note on the cup..."Advertencia, estos productos causan adicción" [insert neck scratches here] Try the Agua de Melón!
SERVICE: I've been to this location several times. And dine-in every time. The staff is friendly when bringing your Tacos to your seat. Nothing spectacular. They do do drive-thru orders with designated drive thru parking. I don't know how it is... I like unlimited access to the salsa bar.
ATMOSPHERE: Considering it was pretty slow, I feel the salsa bar could've used a little presentation love.
DOWNFALLS W/O judgements, just an observation, awarness, and review: One-- they charge $3 per card transaction. No big deal, but is a major persuading factor to use cash. With that, there is ALWAYS a panhandler nearby to ask for your change. Whether you're walking in, in line to order, at the salsa bar or sitting down and already eating... this was not experienced on the west side location.
If it wasn't for carrying a survival guilt when I turn down the people that pass through asking for money, I'd give a higher rating. I've bought a man a full order and really I can't afford to be doing that or giving out my laundry/water jug quarters either AND IF my Tacos didn't...
Read moreThat day me and my sweetheart as we were on our way to Five Point's to catch another bus from the Downtown station when she asked me if I was interested in going to this Restaurant on the corner of Cotton & Montana. I have seen this place many times plus the bus stops in front of the restaurant. So when we went in to place our order and didn't have to wait for our order. I had never seen so many different meat's for your tacos. You get 4 taco's in the way they are played out and then you add the lettuce, tomatoes, onions and spices and your set to go. My sweetheart made a comment about the price and for under 5 bucks where anywhere else would of being paying much more. She said from now on we'll go there most of the time. And it is a nice place to seat and eat. Good taco's, meat's and good...
Read moreSorry guys, but this is just another over rated El Paso Juaritos restaurant joint that serves cheap bland food with very low quality ingredients at a high price and small servings. This is your typical local mexican restaurant that sells cheap low quality food that earns them high profits. Unfortunately the reviews come from young generations that do not know what a good taco (that is made with high quality ingredients) taste like and many mexican construction workers that eat here crave something that tastes like Mexican tacos and not Taco Bell. Tacos are supposed to be inexpensive, because they are cheap to make, and it's not rocket science to make them, I don't understand how 4 small tacos cost $6 dollars and it barely feeds a small person. Mexican restaurant owners in El Paso are...
