The Dome Bar — Restaurant in El Paso

Went for High tea on Sunday 04/12. Service there was exceptional and food was great! Went over to the bar for a glass of wine before heading home. Bar opened at 12. We were the first ones at the bar, 11:45 AM. Despite being there before anyone else, the bartender decided to serve a man and woman who were seated after us. The bartender had provided their drinks and was "chatting" to the man. I walked over and said that we had been waiting and would like to order. He gave me quite the look (think stink eye) and told me he was busy!!!! He was busy? He had already served them!!?? I was shocked that such a high end bar could have this type of person working their premier bar area. Terrible service. My husband and I will be back to try the restaurant but their management for the bar needs to send this individual to conscious culture training because his behavior was unacceptable. It really felt like he was behaving that way because we are all female. They need to send him to training or replace him entirely. The service industry is for serving, not chatting while others have been waiting over 25 minutes!!!! I will be calling the Bar manager, Roxanne, and discuss this behavior...

An evening ruined by rip-off prices for off-menu item and other tactics. DO NOT accept any suggestions from the waiter to order off-menu. My Groupon discount was completely wiped out with the $55 off-menu fish plate that I was talked into (without any mention of the price) in exchange for another fish plate that we had already selected which was under $30. The waiter was SO PUSHY that this seems to be the approach they take to "get even" with anyone using a promotion. Of course the waiter waited until we were in a hurry to leave to bring the bill and we did not see it clearly until we complained. Just to get us more mad, a 18% tip was added to the bill, of course that included the $55...

Food and drinks were fine for a hotel bar. Service was the only negative. Server took wife’s order and walked away without taking my order. She came by 5 minutes later to take my order but it must not have been transmitted to the kitchen timely. My wife’s food came but mine didn’t come for at least 30 minutes later. My wife was nearly done eating by the time my food came. We would have liked to eat at the same time as would most people.
