Verde Salad Co. — Restaurant in El Paso

Ordered for the first time today through Door Dash. My nurse coworkers and I were so excited to finally try these salads we kept hearing about. Today, on our busiest day of the week and being understaffed, we placed or order for the working lunch we would have take.

Our order arrived swiftly, but unfortunately two of the three salads were made incorrectly. I have a gluten allergy so finding food I can eat is a win for me. Our salads were mixed up and mine I could no longer eat since it was contaminated with a gluten ingredient. Thankfully, my coworker and I traded salads.

These were not cheap salads, at least $12 each. We called the store and spoke to the manager, Carina, who was the one who made our salads. She claimed she made them herself and went through each individual ingredient. I’m sure she did, but the fact remains that the proteins and toppings were mixed up and incorrect.

Phone calls were made back and forth but no resolution came. We were told that we should have taken a picture and that we need to talk to Door Dash because it is their fault.

Um, as far as I understand, Door Dash does not go into the restaurant to make the meals. Our order was placed with the restaurant and the manager herself made it.

We did contact Door Dash, more so to warn them. According to other reviews, this restaurant has had “issues” with Door Dash in the past. This is a blatant lack of customer service and basic business skills.

We are in no way trying to make a buck or get salads for free, we just want a mistake rectified and accountability taken. Very disappointed because the food was good, but we will never give money to this restaurant again based solely on how we and Door Dash...

A coworker of mine recommended this place for lunch so I decided to try it out. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to due to horrible customer service. I walked in and got in line (one person ahead of me) and was going over the menu while I waited. Apparently the person ahead of me had a large order (sounded like 8 bowls from what I could hear the girls behind the counter saying). They were running around unorganized handing the bowls to each other. Mind you there was 6 of them working and yet somehow they couldnt manage to get this order out. This entire time not one of them acknowledged me in line, or even bothered to let me know they would be right with me or something along those lines. I ended up leaving after 15 min of waiting and being ignored. Guess I will never know if they are good or not, because I will never be going back after experiencing such poor customer service. A Receptionist @ my Physical Therapists' office recommended this restaurant today. I had seen it a few times. Yet, never had the time to eat at this quaint/delightful restaurant. Although it was packed with people when my friend and I arrived, a very Professional & Cordial Lady prepared our orders (as well as those who succeeded us) in the most EFFICIENT manner....Lo' and behold, this Hospitable lady IS the GENERAL MANAGER. Imagine that! Her name is MARIA. She was working in tandem with a lady of similar qualities-"Sarai".... Suffice to say, our Salads were IMPRESSIONABLE😋, the "Berry Habiscus" & "Cucumber Lemonade"-DELICIOUS and Customer Service-PHENOMENAL. IS IT ANY WONDER WHY THEY ARE A PROSPEROUS BUSINESS?
