Hiko Hibachi & Sushi - Japanese Express — Restaurant in Eldersburg

I can only give 1 star because I didn't get anything.

I walked in and waited, and waited and the gentleman didn't acknowledge me to say he would be right with me. When he finally asked what I wanted I told him Hibachi Chicken with noodles (according to their menu, you get your choice of fried rice or noodles). I noticed he upcharged me $1.00. I asked why and he said there was an extra charge. I showed him his menu did not make any mention about upcharge for noodles. He argued it did, I looked again and it doesn't. I decided it wasn't worth the argument as Tony's is on my way home and you get MORE food for the same price and it is delicious. Plus, if you pay cash, he is currently doing a 10% off deal!!! So here I sit eating a wonderful meal from Tony's and I will have left overs...

Takoyaki ($6.50) and bang bang shrimp ($6.50) are my top recommendations for such an AMAZING AFFORDABLE price. The takoyaki is very warm and soft. Once you get it in your mouth, you’ll never want to stop eating it! Takoyaki is my favorite food to eat so take my word for it. The bang bange shrimp for the price is EXCELLENT- you get a good serving with a savory sauce with a bit of kick (perfect for those who only want a little spicy) and if you want it to be more spicy ask for more hot sauce! The only reason I selected $10-20 is because I typically order both when I order from Hiko!

We ordered take out this past week, hoping for a hibachi/sushi experience that was to go and a little less expensive than being at a sit down restaurant. Unfortunately, this one just misses the mark. The price and timing on the food was great. Having ordered 2 filet meals, we were hoping for a medium doneness. Both of these meals were well done. The steak still tasted nice, but wasn't the mouth watering medium temp we dreamed of. Two of us ordered sushi rolls which were described to be as bland in taste. The fried rice was also a disappointment as it tasted just like white rice with no real additional flavor. The noodles were very peppery and did not seem to be cooked in sauce as they were dry.
