I came from out of town with my brother and his family to take our mother to Liberatores for Mother's Day since it is one of her favorite restaurants. I knew it would be busy, as Mother's Day always is. Most restaurants prepare for that. We has a 1:00 reservation. My mother dropped me off at the door so I could check in. I arrived ON TIME. However, when I got inside, it was chaos. People were standing everywhere and there wasn't a host or hostess anywhere in sight to check you in. After asking around I discovered there were many other people that were waiting to be checked in by the owner Dante, who was not only acting as host, but also clearing off tables and running into the kitchen. Finally he zoomed through the crown not making eye contact with anyone looking very hurried and busy with any occasional tap on someones arm and greeting them. My mother then walked in and I told her I was still waiting to check in. At long last the crowd disappearred and was seated by Dante himself. When we finally made our way to the podium, my mother told him we had a 1:00 reservation and by that time it was 1:15. He told her "She was late". This angered me because when she tried to explain that she wasn't, he cut her off. We then were the only people waiting. There was another group waiting that had a 1:20 reservation that he was about before us, but then I spoke to him. He rudely called me "sunshine" and mumbled that we were late again. By this time it was 1:45 and we still were not seated when everyone else was. Our waiter was awesome and knew that my mother was upset and tried to make things right for her, however, she was still upset with how the owner treated her and her family. My opinion of Dante and his management skills has changed. This use to be one of my favorite restauants to go to when I came into...
Read moreMy husband and I went there recently for lunch for our anniversary. I have experienced Liberatores Food, Service, and wait staff for many years. I have eaten at all of their locations. This by far was the worst experience yet. The lunch dinning room had 6 tables that were occupied and probably 6 more unoccupied. The server looked flustered trying to handle these 6 tables. Though she looked like she was overwhelmed she did an amazing job. Our food was served timely and she kept our drinks filled. she apologized for every little thing. Which told me people have complained un the past. Who ever served us Monday 9-17-2018 you are an amazing waitress dont let the kitchen get you down. The food on the other hand was terrible. We ordered Crab dip for an app., crab ravioli, and Shrimo Fridaivlo. The crab dip was greasy yet hard to get on the bread provided. Their idea of Crab dip was all dip and some, what I can assumed was canned or frozen, crab meat sprinkled on the top. The bread was as hard and stale baguette pieces and was very difficult to eat. The crab ravioli looked was regular ravioli. Not homemade but probably frozen because of the lack of flavor. When I order Crab ravioli I expect crab meant in the ravioli. The sauce was like canned tomato soup with again a few pieces of Crab meat sprinkled on the top. The Shrip fridiavolo was all heat, to much heat, and a soupy sauce that was just as bad as the ravioli. My husband went through 2 cokes attempting to combat the excessive heat in the dish. We did tip our waitress simoly because she does not cook the food. They really need to get a better chef. Their food was what I expected from a fast food pizza restaurant. Not an authentic...
Read more💎 Local gem! 💎Love it!!! 🍝 We did takeout at Liberatores of Eldersburg to celebrate my husband's Bday. He loves Italian food so it was perfect. We got an appetizer of Crab Dip and Grilled Calamari. Our entrees were excellent we got Chicken Parm over angelhair and Alfredo with Blackened Shrimp over angelhair. Good homemade sauce but I wish it had a few more spices and garlic. Next time I will order more add ons to stir in. ☺️ I was pleasantly surprised they got all my additions asking for ingredients on the side for my entree. Yes it was all perfect. They gave us a lot of bread too! The food was yummy and plentiful and we got multiple meals out of it. Everything was cooked perfectly and not overcooked which is especially important with seafood like Calamari. They had our meal ready super fast even though it was a busy weekend. (Thanks Ashley!).
My impression of Liberatores: I love the atmosphere here there is an ample dining room with romantic mood lighting, spacious bar and lounge room as well as private back room and outdoor patio. It isn't too loud and there is soft Italian music playing in the background.
This is the perfect local family owned restaurant for both celebrations and casual dining too. The catering side of the restaurant is filled with all the goodies you could ask for: frozen meals to go, wine, beer, Italian sodas, beautiful cookies, boxed pasta, cheese, salami, home made jarred marinara, jams, etc.
💕 Everyone at Liberatores is so sweet and welcoming. I can't wait to come back here again I would love to eat out on the patio once the weather cools down. Thanks Dante and team at the Eldersburg Liberatores! 💯 There's a reason this restaurant has been around for 35 years. 🇮🇹
