David’s Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Elfers

Read this review! I know you’re thinking another food truck but listen to my honest review. I’m a taco snob. I know, I know, another white girl who loves tacos but listen. I like authentic Mexican tacos. Keep the cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Give me a run down truck with meat, onions & cilantro on a corn tortilla, k? This place killed it! Except, the truck was clean (I know I was nervous too, it’s okay trust it). The food was fresh, HOT, and delicious. The salsa was perfect too, he warned me the red sauce was spicy but honestly - right on the money. I can’t give this place a better review. Try it for yourself. I just moved to Pasco from Clearwater and now I don’t have to drive back for great tacos! LETS GO!! 10/10 and a great price but it wouldn’t matter! I did try to get rice or beans but he said he didn’t serve them bc he can’t keep them fresh to his standards and doesn’t want to microwave all day wouldn’t be quality so respect that but was slightly disappointed to not have some good...

Met the owner Jose had an amazing conversation before and after eating my food. Learned quite a bit in such short period of time of different cultures. His food oh amazing out of this world. I had his birria plate and I couldn’t be more pleased with the flavor and how packed full of meat they were. My husband had some carne asada tacos and boy I had to steal one lol. Everything about his truck was just amazing. Great environment and very pleasant service. Not the usual you get around here in the New Port Richey area, but way above and beyond.
