Dulce Pecado Bistro Bar — Restaurant in Elizabeth

My friends and I dined at this establishment for the first time yesterday. We saw that they had $15 hookah and games so we were excited about that. When we arrived we mentioned to one another how nice it is and discussed coming back for their Taco Thursday and brunch. But after our visit I highly doubt we would return. We ordered our drinks which didn’t take too long to come out, but we also ordered wings and we were questioning each other on why it was taking so long. Our original waiter never even came back to our table. We had to find another waiter to ask where our wings were and they came back 5 mins later stating they didn’t have any wings. I wish they would have said something sooner instead of having us wait 30-40 mins for some wings that were never coming. Anyway, we then ordered our food and my two friends tacos were extremely cold and they stated it was because of the salad, but even the meat was cold. Also, we had to make sure there was no guacamole on the taco and wanted to confirm it was just green sauce because our friend is allergic to avocados. When we asked the waitress to confirm she had such a nasty attitude and was huffing and puffing. We also ordered shots and we were playing Jenga when the shots came and once the Jenga fell it knocked over our friend’s shot. We asked for another one and asked if we’d be charged. Lenny (a worker) shrugged his shoulders like he didn’t care and said “of course”. The issue is not that we had to pay for another, but the fact that he just shrugged like he didn’t care. What would have been better would be him saying, “I’m so sorry. Let me go and get you another one, but you will be charged.” It’s not what you say but how you say it. I'm going to break this rating down so you understand why I gave a 2 star review

Arrived at 8:05 put name down they said 45 min which we agreed to no problem. We went to park the car and maybe waited 15 min and were seated. Great! Our seat was by the front door and against the wall so we didn't sit across each other but near door and it was so cold. Waiter came right away we put all orders in drink, appetizer, entree waiter said kitchen was behind so glad we put in our dinner. We are a party of 6 we received our appetizer no drinks yet. Micheladas came and then 2 entrees. I waited for my drink 1hr 30 min and my friends 1 hr. Beers 30 min. My husband was last to receive his and he waited 2 hours. Not to mention when we noted drinks were taking long we wanted to order 1 more round so we could at least have 2 drinks and they gave us an excuse that we could only order beers or shots at this time, we ordered beers which also arrived late. The drinks was good and the steak, parillada, guacamole with chicharon were tasty but the service and organization horrible!!!! I don't blame my eater cause he was polite this is an establishment problem that is running a full service restaurant at full capacity and cannot deliver and therefore sacrifices customer service with...

Really all around terrible service .Music was pretty bad too. Very clear that they don’t know how to utilize staff. My party of 4 waited 45 minutes to be served one round of drinks -just the one round. The food was hit or miss, we ordered mango bbq wings which were not bad but not great and tacos that were actually just offensive to hispanic people at that point because it was that atrocious. But alcohol fixes everything right? Again just too bad we only had our one round . we order the second round and it was another half hour before they came and by that point we all just wanted to leave. so we politely requested to cancel the drinks and receive our checks. that was a whole ordeal as the wait staff combined the whole thing after we told her 3 whole times to cancel drinks and food items- and actually did the extra work of separating the checks items for her !! a manager was called over as well and he clearly just didn’t care. the hookah was terrible - we ordered one and the tabaco was BURNED . and so we ordered a second -the server brought it out and didn’t even bother to clear the table leaving a whole mess. we also asked to just swap out the disgusting tacos (not return just swap out) and we’re told no. just flat out no . please save your money...
