Chuck E. Cheese — Restaurant in Elk Grove

I must leave a review after my experience last night. I promise I am not a difficult customer at all, but unfortunately…last night, I was on accident. My family of 5 arrived at about 7:15pm. I ordered our food and play time, used my app to redeem something and paid. As soon as the transaction went through, I noticed a special they offered that was a few dollars cheaper than my total but it came with way more food/drinks and play. I felt so bad but asked them if I could please cancel my entire order and do the special instead. The cashier and manager(who was close by the whole time) were so incredibly kind, patient and forgiving towards me. A line had formed behind me and they never got frustrated that I caused extra work and slowed the line even more. I just kept apologizing and they assured me it was ok. That is huge for me. Some places get so upset with you over an inconvenience but the manager and cashier last night did not. They refunded me immediately and re-rang me up. The manager was also kind enough to add playing time to our card even though I had used my app for the 2 free drinks(the deal I saw had four drinks. So I no longer needed the two. 15 minutes of play was an option on the app but I chose the drinks.) But he added the time to our card manually which I was so grateful for. Most places do not do that. If you press redeem on that app, you’re stuck with it. Thank you for allowing me to get something else. Not to mention, the cashier is the same young lady that was the host for my sons 1st birthday party a year ago. She was kind then and kind now. We needed a little more help and the other staff members smiled and was happy to assist. As we left, I thanked and apologized to the manager again and he was just so polite, professional and pleasant. I would just like to commend the entire team that worked last night. I have a 2 and 4 year old and this is our families favorite place to come for family time. My nephew is 11 and loves to hang with us and he still loves this place. We spent $70 for a family of 5 and had plenty of food, drinks, dessert and an hour of play. Amazing. I remember receiving an email containing a survey from Chuck E. Cheese some months ago. They asked lots of questions regarding how I felt about my experiences here, my thoughts on the cost, food, what you get, etc. I so appreciate you all for remaining an affordable fun center for families to come to. Very budget friendly but the quality of your visit is still top their. The unlimited play option is a life saver. I know this review is really long but I had to give credit where credit is due. I recently hosted my SO's son's 8th birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese on East Stockton Boulevard, and I have to say, the service we received was phenomenal. From the moment we scheduled the party, the staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs, especially considering our son's autism and the fact that his friend is deaf. They understood that both children process and understand situations differently, and they interact and communicate in unique ways. It was truly amazing how respectfully the employees treated us and our children.

They were proactive in ensuring our comfort and even offered to reschedule our party for a quieter time slot when they realized it might be more suitable for our son and his friends. On the day of the party, our server was amazing. She took the time to address all our concerns and made sure our son felt included and valued, even going the extra mile by giving him tickets despite not catching any in the ticket blaster. Overall, the staff's attentiveness and understanding made the party a memorable experience for us.

However, there was one unfortunate incident involving another parent who disrupted our son's birthday song by recording him with Chuck E. Cheese, and then allowing their child to overshadow our son during the celebration. While this was disappointing, it was in no way a reflection of the excellent service provided by Chuck E. Cheese.

Despite the incident, I would highly recommend Chuck E. Cheese for birthday parties, especially for families with special needs children. Their understanding and willingness to accommodate made all the difference, and we will definitely be returning for future celebrations. Thank you, Chuck E. We've been to Chuck E. Cheese several times for birthday parties and last-minute fun. Parking is typically fairly easy to find as they're in a large shopping center. The employees are always friendly and helpful. Like many places, sometimes they're stretched thin, but most do their best to take care of the guests. Daniela, Denise, Maxine, and Priscilla are always amazing to our family, and they're clearly great ambassadors for the brand and amazing employees. We purchased the gold summer fun pass. In a nutshell, you can play up to 250 games daily, additional credits are 50% off, and nearly all of their food is 50% off as well. It's easy to redeem using their app on your Android or Apple device. Pro tip to save money if you're a Sam's Club member. They regularly sell gift cards for 25% off and up to 30% off during promos. You can use those gift cards for any everyday purchases. The only thing they're not applicable to is birthday parties. Be sure to buy the souvenir soda cups as you receive free refills on them for the life of the cup. The arcade area is typically fairly clean. I am sure to always have our girls wash and sanitize their hands before eating or before we leave. The restrooms are typically pretty well maintained. The pizzas are always decent, and the salad bad is always clean, fresh, and well maintained. Our girls have had an amazing time here countless times throughout the summer.
