Hardy's Bar — Restaurant in Elkhart

This is currently the only place in Elkhart that you can get food after 10pm. The Kitchen is open late, normally until midnight. I have always felt safe and welcome at this downtown staple and would recommend to anyone looking to grab a bite to eat or have a drink. This bar has a ton of regulars, but you will also find the theater crowd here before and after Lerner shows, guests from Hotel Elkhart often walk the short block to Hardy's, the crowd is always eclectic. Hardy’s, 523 and Five Star are basically a triangle in the same block and it is a great place to bar hop to. In fact you will normally find the wait staff and even the owners of the other restaurants, bars and Main Street establishments there after their shifts end. Hardy’s is the best late night place in Elkhart. And one of the only places to serve food late. The food at Hardy’s is good. My favorite part are the pool tournaments every Wednesday and Sunday night. I am impressed how Hardy’s is continuous growing...

I'm new to town and was excited to check this place out last night. Had a few drinks. Dropped at least $40 on a Monday night with my date. Bartender was rude, eating a sandwich out of her purse and kept walking out to with random bar guys. It took forever to get any drinks. Sort of annoying but it's Monday night so I don't expect the best and didn't complain. But then she returns finally and as I'm ordering a shot (for the lovely lady who saved me during an embarrassing set of karaoke), she accused me of yelling at her. I certainly didn't yell. I took my card back and told her so, respectfully. I cancelled the drinks. She proceeded to yell at me to leave to the disbelief of the random man sitting next to me and my date. I left without issue. It was super disappointing. I was hoping to make this my new neighborhood bar. Good drinks, horrible Monday staff. Will...

This place has the best staff I went to 5 star bar down the street from this because friends invited me. Felt I drunk too much to drink phone went dead ask 5star to call me a cab They refused to The Police they have at front ask him also. He said he can't either. But sent me to Hardy's bar too see if they could. Went in ask door guy to call he referring to bartender she had bar back helper call for me. The got me a cab.
