This past Saturday the 28th of June I was taking a friend to the Elkhart location of Purely Pressed, we’ve been working outside all day in the heat and we’re looking forward to a nice cool lunch. We put in our order within the 15-20min window as selected on the app.
When we arrived the ONE employee there who was working SO SO hard and SO SO BEHIND. He kindly told me it would be 45 minutes, I had to laugh and tell him to cancel the order. People were coming in and then turning right back around and walking away.
This wasn’t my first visit to the Elkhart location of Purely Pressed. Earlier this spring my wife and I placed the order online expecting when we arrived our food would be ready. When we arrived there was ONE employee there, the same poor kid who says the company thinks it’s funny for him to be there all alone. Fortunately, we were not on a schedule and waited the additional 45 minutes for our food.
Now I paid $28 for our food last Saturday on their app which you cannot get a refund from. So the kid took down my information and said I’ll have the owner call you and you can get a refund.
Well it’s now past 5pm on Monday the 30th of June.
I realize that some places may still have staffing issues, but to put one person in a location that makes a very complicated drink that takes time and effort is just foolish in my opinion, and I imagine they will continue to lose business with this model.

We used to frequent the Purley Pressed in Granger until they CONTINUOUSLY would run our order 15+ minutes late. We order online, choose a specific time, PAY, then roll the dice. Its unfortunate when your sitting there waiting for your late order and others will walk in place an order and it’s received while we’re still sitting there watching waiting patiently for our food.. we love the food there we really do, but I think we’re gonna start juicing at home because Purely Pressed is...
