I am writing to share the experiences my wife and I have enjoyed over the last two weekends. On a personal note, my wife and I have been going through a tough home remodel causing us to eat out more often than usual. Last week after a particularly rough week we ended up at the L Wine Bar feeling defeated. That feeling didn't last for long. We spoke with the Bartender/Server John and communicated that we are far from wine experts, and we could use some help with regard to our selection. We also started out at a table and let him know we would like to move up to the bar when there is an opening. One of the other patrons was kind enough to move down and allow us to have a spot next to her. After explaining the characteristics that we do enjoy in a wine he recommended a sampling of three wines. Let me say we enjoyed all three recommendations. What a wonderful problem to have! After chatting and getting to know each other better John informed us that he is studying to be a sommelier. He shared so much information with us in a very approachable and informative way and we couldn't be more grateful! We learned so much and the other patrons were so kind as to share their opinions as well. We made a ton of new friends and shared in a magical evening! We are so grateful to have met you all! I would be remiss if I didn't give a shoutout to the kitchen staff as well. We had beautifully cooked sea scallops and beef short rib mac and cheese. The food was absolutely incredible! It just really put what was an unbelievable experience and sent it right over the top! We decided last evening to join one of our newfound friends for a revisit and had another "beyond our wildest expectations" type of evening. From the service to the food to the excellent company it is our new favorite spot in the Elkhart area, and we are so grateful to have found you all. Thank...
Read moreWe had a wonderful time and they did great accommodating our larger group (we made reservations). Very cool vibe! Loved the atmosphere and our server was very nice. Our food was good though somewhat inconsistent- Two people at our table ordered the Lobster BTL and one plate came with greens (no cheese) on the side and the other with blue cheese (no greens). The ramen was good though 4 of us ordered it and some could handle the spice and others felt it too much. The appetizers were all great! We had smaller portions since a lot of our items were from the Sip & Savor menu (Elkhart event). Drinks were also fantastic! Overall a good experience though I would not go if on a time crunch (we were there 2 1/2hrs) and if there was a little more consistency on the taste and presentation I would do a higher rating. We will definitely be back! Overall very happy to have stumbled...
Read moreIf youâre coming here for apps and drinks, it would be a cool place. The highs - cool atmosphere, top notch drinks, decent drink selection. The sake colada was absolutely delicious. The lows- tiny portion sizes, fries were cold and had no flavor especially for being Cajun. The Royal fish and chips is just 2 small cuts of haddock that was mostly breading. Once you got to a bite with fish it was really good. The bolognese noodles were delicious but the sauce was sooo salty and I usually like things on the saltier side. If they made some improvements, this could be a...
