RUDE EMPLOYEE!!! Wish I could give no stars….Went to this dunkin drive thru today, waiting in line to order for 10mins. When we got up near the speaker we accidentally went a little too far forward past the speaker to the point where we couldn't order. There were lots of cars right behind us (prolly about 10) and we could not back up….so unfortunately we had to pull forward and didn’t order. We were hoping that instead we could order at the window bc it was an honest mistake…..what any caring customer service employee would do. Well we pulled up to the window and laughingly explained our situation and how we were willing to wait so we wouldn’t hold up there line. (The part in quotes to follow is what we remember to be the employees words) The lady at the window (I didn’t get her name) immediately said no, that she couldn’t help us and made a snarky comment “well u blew past the speaker (eye roll)”. Then proceeded to say…. “There’s only two of us here and there are other people waiting and we don’t want to mess up our line and orders” We understood and asked her once again if there was anything that they could do for us like even take our order and bring it out to us when they got to that order in the queue….she proceeded to dismiss again in a snarky manner and was extremely “matter of fact” saying that there was absolutely nothing she could do. We then offered to make a mobile order and have them bring it out to us, she said maybe that could work but still in a irritated fashion. “You will have to go back through the line” (there were prolly a good 15 cars in the drive they behind us at that point). There was also no ability for us to go inside bc the dining room was closed. At that point we were worried that they might do something malicious to our food/drink bc she was being so unwilling to help. Needless to say we ended up just driving away and going to a different Dunkin. I would recommend that Dunkin in elkton md trains their staff a little better on how to talk to people and general customer service. If this lady had said it in a nicer manner we may not have came to the conclusion to write this long...
Read moreI’m a registered nurse. I’ve dealt with mostly wonderful patients, but every once in a while our floor had a patient who was degrading and mean spirited to the entire staff. I always kept in mind that that person was sick and that perhaps they were getting some sort of relief by being offensive to the staff and that they deserved the best possible care we could provide. Today, there was a very long line at the Dunkin drive-through so I went inside to get a medium coffee. I got behind a woman who was in line at the cash register. Apparently, there is a different cash register for customers who prepay for their food and drinks as opposed to someone like me, who was ordering and paying inside the building. A very nice, rather tall, bearded gentleman directed me to another register and he took my order there. I paid for my coffee and put the change in the tip jar. After a few minutes a heavy set older woman placed a coffee on the counter and she started to walk away. I wasn’t sure if the coffee was mine or another customer’s, so I said, “Hi. Is this coffee mine?” She turned around and answered me by saying, “It’s not mine” and again walked away. Maybe she’s ill, mentally or otherwise, and that’s why she was smarmy. Perhaps it made her feel good. Whatever her issue is, the tall gentleman immediately apologized for her behavior. That said, the coffee was very tasty, hot and made exactly like I asked. The store was very clean. I’ll most likely give a better rating when I return to this Dunkin’ because I’ll make sure the off putting employee is not there...
Read moreElkton rt 40 and Glasgow peoples plaza, are my two favorites in the whole demarva area. Make my coffee exactly how I like it. Only issue I ever had was how Elkton has started to charge extra for extra swirl. My regular cashiers don't charge it but most do. It's not too big a deal tho. But FYI the dd on rt 40 by fox run also charges extra for extra swirl and it ALWAYS ALWAYS tastes like there's NOTHING at all in it. If I'm paying $3 for one coffee, it darn should have some flavor. I literally gotta go back in and ask again for it or put all types of Splenda in it. That is the worst dd ever. Cheap and wanna charge for everything and don't give you what you pay for. I been there quite a few times hoping to give them another chance and all their workers are trained not to. I shouldn't have to stop somewhere and remake my coffee when I'm trying to drive to work. Fox run is the worst ever. I hate to say it but American owned ones are the only ones who don't penny pinch over dumb stuff. But Elkton rt 40 is a good...
