D&M Coffee — Restaurant in Ellensburg

We are regulars to D&M and have enjoyed the veggie burrito as a fun meal, but in our past 3-4 experiences the burritos have been horrible. For example, the burritos are missing ingredients, folded like wraps so everything falls out of them, not all of the way cut so everything falls out of them, and most recently we had to explain that there was a veggie burrito on the menu as the person had no clue what we were trying to order and wanted to make us a wrap instead of a burrito (which ended up happening). We immediately called and complained asking for a refund (still waiting on that) and the managers number, which we were not given, so we will probably not get any food from this location again.

D&M in my view, has always had an issue with consistency of both food and drinks. The same drinks (drip coffee included) taste different depending on whoever makes them, which makes it really hard to want to continue going back. Great coffee, marvelous scones, friendly staff. They have made unfortunate changes to their panini, however. The rather sweet tomato sauce added to the veggie panini does not go well with the Greek olives, feta cheese, and artichoke hearts. They had a good combo, and I was deeply disappointed that they felt they had to ruin it. I haven't tried the other sandwiches, so I don't know if other terrible changes have been made to them by someone with more creativity than taste.

In response to the owner's response: Yes, the recipe did change, although I assume it happened some years ago. Tomatoes were added to the veggie panini, which in the past did not have them in any form. When I made a special stop in Ellensburg just to get a veggie panini, I was shocked by the new taste. A formerly wonderful blending of flavors is now completely masked by tomato sauce with Italian seasonings. The spinach and Greek olives do look pretty, though. I get coffee at 4th and pearl d&m almost every day . i meet people for business . Coffee is really good food is good . Owner did a great job with the shop . My only complaint is the manager is moody especially when its busy . She seems really stressed when its busy and snaps at people . I spend on average 20 to 30 bucks a week. And i always tip . She acts like she has never seen me before. At other coffee shops they remember your name and are polite . At d&m the other employees are friendly but she needs more customer service training i think . To me good customer service should always accompany good coffee.. just be nice please . I want to enjoy my coffee shop experience. ...
