We used to be regulars. I say 'used' to because we decided today was our last time. Several times now we've patiently given grace to the workforce here but enough is enough. Had the same girl serving us a couple times and honestly I don't know how she keeps her job. Before I ordered, she said there was no soup, but after I ordered something else she asked someone in our group if they wanted soup with their meal! We clearly stated we wanted a thick chocolate malt because last time it was not a malt. Today is had malt but was not thick and was running all out of the cup. After a long wait, my husband got a sandwich but not the fries and soup until he was done with the sandwich. When we complained, she said 'oh, the kitchen is busy' ! When I asked for the cheese and dressing that was supposed to come on my salad but was not on it, she eventually brought the cheese but no dressing. I commented again that I would like dressing. Eventually came with that. We had to ask for napkins, then silverware, and asked for an extra glass for the malt we were sharing. That never came. One other server was hustling. Ours was not. She chose to stop and chat up her friend several times and I had to interrupt multiple times to get her attention. There were no apologies and no compensation for a terrible experience. I hope the manager sees this and there are corrections.

I walked from my hotel for breakfast at historic Cafe and found good food at a fair price. It was not really busy and I ordered the two pancake & two egg breakfast with a side of sausage patties after a short wait. The breakfast menu includes omelettes, waffles, pancakes, French Toast, fruit bowls, a variety of coffee drinks, and much more. I received my order in about ten minutes with eggs that were scrambled and not fried. The waffles were huge and were fluffy with a nice taste to them. The sausage patties had a nice mild taste. The scrambled eggs had a nice taste and were not overcooked. You will also find a lunch and dinner menu with burgers, sandwiches, soups, steaks, milkshakes, wraps, desserts, and much more. Located on North Main Street (I-90) and Fourth in downtown Ellensburg. One of those long established cafes with great food, friendly service, interesting decor, and a down home vibe.

I don't like to write 1 star reviews and always encourage others to try things as all palettes vary. That said, this from a food aspect is unacceptable. While the prime rib was acceptable, none of the sides were even close. The vegetables in a farm rich environment were from a can or frozen and boiled beyond acceptability. The mashed potatoes were seemingly from a box as well and the gravy was truly bland and tasteless and seemed to be from a packet. I would expect more freshness from a $35 entree. My wife got halibut and chips and although the halibut was also from a box in appearance, it was at least hot and okay. The fries were the best part of the whole meal, unfortunately. Very crispy and tasty, 5 stars on those. The Cole slaw on the other hand looked liked it had been sitting out for a day or two and neither of us would even try it.

Took my family for breakfast and had the worst experience. We waited 10 minute after being sat to have a buss person bring water which was kind expected since it was fairly busy.. the server came approx 10 minutes later with menus and took our drink/food order. Another 20 minutes go by and I asked a young man to check on our drinks. Finally got our drinks and we continued to wait another 40 minutes for our food. Not one of the 6 different employees stopped to check on us or even acknowledge our presence. I flagged another emplyee down and asked if she could check on an ETA for our food. Our food then showed up and one of the male employees looked me in the eye and asked if I had a problem. He walked around to my side of the table and I told him I was disappointed and let him know it had been 40 min to even be checked on. He said with a disgruntled tone that he had. 40 top in the back. I told him his 40 top was not my concern but communication or acknowledgement would have been the key. He said “you are right” He swiped an empty glass of water off the table and stepped out to refill the water approx 6 feet away and then he slams the full cup of water onto the table and stomped away. I then asked to see a manager and he reqpproached our table and said they had no manager on duty just senior staff. He pointed to himself and said “what can I do for you??” Very rudely. I simply told him I would reach out to a manager on a later day. My 15 month old granddaughter received almost burnt French toast and didn’t receive silverware for 2 others with us and no side of gravy which was ordered previously. We had to ask for the silverware. Needless to say we left extremely disappointed and will never return. Sadly we used to frequently visit this establishment! My money will be better spent...

Well we have eaten here before and the food was always good. Tonight, we ordered takeout. We asked the server to double check our order, because it seemed a bit light. She came back and said it was all there. When we got back to our hotel, we were 2 items short. Not saying the food was good, but to ask to double check the order to see it was correct and it wasn't, although they said it was. Disappointing. We waited an extra 20 minutes past our pick up time. Here we are in our hotel room, and have no utensil at all, gnawing at a steak. Try eating it with the utensils from the Chinese takeout the night before. After looking at my girlfriend's New York Steak, I decided this was only fit to feed my dog, which she loved. One side of the steak was well and the other side was literally raw. The baked potato was dry, and the steamed vegetables which were frozen but seasoned nicely was the best part. Pictures included. My Ahi Tuna salad dry and was missing the salad. We ordered soup and didn't get it either... We called and talked the the manager about our ordeal and our disappointment. Thank you Stephen for assistance. This was an off night and the food is way better than this particular incident. I gave this place another try tonight. I was pleased with my Oriental Chicken Salad, my fiancee ordered the 10 oz NY Steak medium rare. It was more on the medium well side, no use in complaining. Close enough. The chicken fried steak looked great as well as the double bacon burger 🍔. The deserts were delicious as well as the mozzarella sticks, and the...

I've eaten here 3 times. The first 2 times were fine. Food was good. Service was decent. Restaurant was busy. This last time... Not so great of an experience. Any one of the things that happened alone, I'd probably overlook, but the whole experience had too many negative aspects to ignore.

Host stand was not very welcoming at all. No smiles. No greeting. Only a curt "How many?"

Server came promptly, but I asked the server what size portion the Halibut was. He told me 8 oz. What came was definitely not larger than 6 oz. I'm okay with a 6 oz portion, but not when I believed I was getting 8 oz.

Further, I'm not convinced the fish they brought was actually Halibut. I've prepared and eaten a lot of Halibut in my life, and this had a different texture and appearance than what I've ever had before. I may be off base on my assessment, but I did pose the question to two separate servers. One said they'd ask the kitchen, but never got back to me to confirm. The other just brushed off my question. I assured them it was still good fish, but was just curious whether it was really Halibut. Based on no confirmation, I'm a bit more inclined to believe it wasn't Halibut.

Finally, when the check came, the total was $40 and change. I put down three $20 bills. My server returned with only $9 and change (shorting me $10). Likely an honest mistake, but it was the final straw for the evening. I doubt I'll go back...
